Wanted some thoughts on the subject. Has any of you guys ever sent a chick to the shrinks? Going to make a long story short because I don't like reading or writing essay long bullshit.

- Dated a chick back in high school for 3 years

- We mutually called it off after graduation

- About a 2 weeks later, I book a one way ticket and leave the state to pursue my dream.

- A couple of months later her mom runs into my mom at the supermarket, and her mom reveals that she started to see a shrink because of the relationship. Just recently she admitted to me that I was the only guy she ever had who sent her to the shrinks.

- It's been about 8 years (dam, that long ago,lol) , and ever since then she has made sure to keep in contact with me. She still emails me old letters and pictures of us. I said to her "If it wasn't for your effort to keep in contact, I would of stopped talking to you the day we broke up".. She eats the shit up.

- I made a promise to myself NEVER to contact her. I would only talk to her if she initiated contact. Throughout the 8 years, it's always been her to initiate FIRST contact.

- I gotta admit I say some pretty nasty things straight outta left field.

So my question is, has anyone ever sent a chick to the shrinks?

My ex started seeing a shrink a few weeks after we split. But I wouldn't say I "sent" her there. She was going downhill fast and all by herself. Mental health issues run in her family.

My ex started seeing a shrink 7 years before we split, and as far as I know still is... but it wasn't me sending her there; she's just batshit crazy.

I have yet to accomplish a chick going to the shrink over the "devastating end of our relationship" or whatever the case might be... But I aspire to such!

I have an ex-gf that shaved her head and went into a supervised living kind of situation when i broke up with her.
But she was already crazy when i met her.

Na, the chick was mentally all there and came from a good family. I kinda take pride that my game was tight enough to send her off the edge. One of my finer accomplishments in life..hahaha

to all the guys with batshit crazy ex's, etc. what things did they do to make you consider them batshit crazy?

In my case, it wasn't anything really nuts--no painting herself colors, shaving her head, throwing things, or anything like that. Mostly it was just the usual self-delusion turned up a bit (rewriting history, overwhelming entitlement, colorfully asserting her version of reality while giving me blank looks when I presented her with factual accounts, crap like that on top of 7 years of therapy). The "batshit crazy" label came from a female friend who knew both of us.

But yeah I heard she went nuts after we broke up. Telling the next guy that she wanted to have his babies, a month after meeting him!
Last I heard she had to take the bus an hour each way for work. That made me feel better

The ex I'm currently banging again professed that after I broke up with her she went into a mid-life crisis (that's still going on). She started partying like she was 21 again, which has made it all the more interesting for me since I started hitting it again. She (7) just turned 30 in October.

I think a lot of times the ending of a relationship can be a catalyst. What I mean by that is, relationships take a huge amount of our emotional energy. They take large amounts of time, money and its an investment any way you look at it. After an unstable girl invests all of her emotions in you and you end it, that can be just enough to break down all of those ramshackle walls holding her steady. At that point she will have no emotional support and all of her insecurities and problems will be magnified 10 fold. These are the causes for girls and sometimes guys who have to get therapy after a long relationship. 2 of my exes had to do that but they were very emotionally unbalanced and that is what led me to believe that I wasn't the only reason they had to go there.
