That's what I thought when my friend sent me the pic initially and said he saw gold. I thought he was trolling me until I googled the pic and apparently it's a real debate.

It's obviously white and gold, which 3/4s agree on. The rest 1/4 must have some sort of color blindness.

photoshop fucked with its brightness. Evidence look at the light to your right. Shit gets like that when you bump up the brightness in windows photoshop.

Depending on where your eye focuses the dress can change colors due to it being over or under exposed

If you would like to do do your own experiment please put a piece of paper over your monitor while the dress is in view. Now look through the piece of paper and the dress will be blue and black


edit: too lazy to make post about pupil dilation and the effect it has. PM if you're that interested and I'll get back to you tomorrow

At first I thought it was white and gold. But look at the background of the photo. There is 'true white' in there, immediately to the left, and it definitely doesn't match the 'white' on the dress. Also, hate to break it to you, but...



Or, maybe it's what I've feared m entire life... how do I know for sure that the color other people see as red is not what I see as blue...?

The dress is white and gold obviously. But in bad lighting the white part looks blue and gold part looks... well darker but it's still moronic to say its black, you can see the darkest parts are supposed to be yellow/gold anyway if you are not blind.

Everything looks black or blue during night with bad/no lighting. In total absence of light everything is just black. Actually every child knows this.

You can change you monitor brightness and see if you somehow don't understand such simple things.
