Silence would have been a better response to her shit test, and that's what you should do now.
Your mistake came after she said "pick the truth and I'll tell you another." Going for the number after that line felt forced.
You should have played along with her since she was clearly enjoying it, and there were lots of opportunities to mess with her and play around a bit.
It's very much a recoverable situation though, simply based on her attraction to you, so let us know how it plays out.

good shit
^ I thought the same

she messaged me again an hour and a half later(~2am) and said "Again, lame. If I'm going to follow a strangers instructions, I'd at least prefer an incentive."
Still giving it time.

Esquire article about the Gillette findings posted the other day.
Either way I maintain some men look better in beards, some men look better clean shaven. One reason some guys don't do as well as they could is because they have not optimized their looks. Working out and dressing better is not the be all end all. You need to know your face shape, and pick a hairstyle that compliments that. If you're short? Probably should grow your hair out to give you volume and the optical illusion of height. Big forehead? Something that covers it, etc. Weak chin/flabby chin Probably looks better with a beard covering. Chiseled jaw line + high cheek bones? Show that off, go five o clock shadow. You have to really look at yourself honestly and determine what would look best on you.

I have been getting some nice matches lately - like today...
What's the problem?
I am older than the age listed on my Tinder and I can't change it without setting up a new FB page.
Any suggestions on addressing this if/when I meet one of matches (do I explain before or only when we meet)?
How do you answer the question: "How tall are you?"
I'm 5' 8" (173cm)
This question is always something that goes downhill for me.

If she asks about your height ask about her weight. You should get an interesting response

I suppose that depends on the 'variance'.

Tell her 5'8 without blinking. Bring her to your reality. In your reality, 5'8 is not a problem. If she says "too short for me" or some variation of, you have a multitude of choices.
-Okay no problem. Good luck!
-Well that's a first haha
-Lol okay?
-I'm sorry you're insecure about that
There's more but those are just the ones off the top of my head. It depends on what you want to imply. Do you want to come across as cool like you're not bothered at all? Do you want to make her feel like she's the first and only girl that would care about something like that? Do you want to make her feel weird about rejecting you purely off height? It all depends. I mentioned before, I'm 5'7 but have yet to be asked on Tinder. If any girl does, I will tell her 5'7 and wait for her response. If it feels like it's a dead lead after the revelation, it's open season. Whatever I feel like saying in that moment, I'll say.

I've seen some girls have the same issue. They just write their real age in the profile.

The variance is significant. I look 5 years younger. The variance exceeds that though...
But the photo's are accurate and if anything I look better, am more fit now.
My idea was to just address it in person as quickly as possible but I'm not sure.

Either deal with it before you meet (put it in your profile if you feel you have to), or run with the fake age.
Having tried both ways, my advice is
say nothing and deal with it down the line only if it becomes a problem.

Like every fashionable venue in your city and designer clothes brands that you or your ideal woman likes. Only swipe from 6pm to 10pm. Deal in packs of tens - don't swipe if you've got 10 live chats going. A chat fades away? Unmatch and swipe for a replacement. Use memorable moments.

Why not meet to see if they notice this excessive variance?
I tested 27 of an age a few weeks ago. My matches went through the roof which is bitter sweet. I have now reverted to 35 and FB won't let me alter my age again.
Point taken: I attract young women but they keep their search settings to default so I won't get to match them even if they would have liked me.
What do we think the sweet spot is?
I moved my age to 29 and I got a ton of girls between the ages of 23-30
Subtract a few years and I kill it with college aged girls.
What age would be the best to maximize on both age ground?
If you want 18-21. I would say 21 or 22 is the best for the USA.
If you want to cast the largest net I would say 30. Any higher than that I feel like the curve of girls 18-25 will start blocking you out of their searches due to social conditioning.

"But that’s New York’s technologized dating scene. Except for ordering their drinks, none of the people I was with that night spoke to any other actual human beings. Their erotic energy was focused on the touchscreens of their smartphones."

I came here to share this but you beat me to it.
I had mentioned a few pages back in this thread that I was seeing girls (here in Eastern Europe) working Tinder on their phones while they were in the club.
This NY Times is pretty revealing. A lot of blue pill beta readers might be in for a nasty surprise.
Quote:Over two months last year, Ms. Cheers, 27, went out on 34 dates with 17 men...
“After dating so aggressively,” Ms. Cheers said, “I kind of wanted to settle down with just one guy.”
Quote:Dana got a text. It was from a couple in Chinatown she had recently met on the app, writing to say that the threesome they had planned that night would have to be postponed.
Vaguely disappointed, Dana perked up minutes later when another Tinder message came in — from Max, a Brooklyn musician. I watched her thumb Max a quick invitation on her iPhone. It turned out she was free that night. Did he want to hang out? I took that as my cue to leave. By the time I headed off, Max was headed over.

Another one from that NYT article...
The woman with a boyfriend, who is on Tinder and has matched with a 1000 guys purely for attention whoring reasons.

Once again, it is like the British housing market which the IMF and OECD claim is overvalued by 20% and 31% respectively. A seller will sometimes approach the market not to sell but take a check on the value of his house.
I unmatch after two introduction messages have been ignored.

This is part of the reason I'm going to delete my OkCupid account. I've been on Tinder for a few weeks and I've found that it destroys OkCupid. OkCupid traffic has been drying up and it seems so slow and archaic. I understand some people are complaining the Tinder is ruined because it's so popular and it's full of women looking for relationships but at the end of the day there is a lot of traffic going to that app.
The genius of Tinder is that it eliminated the biggest issue of online dating to begin with which was the mass messages women got. It didn't make sense since Women never get that much attention in real life and the virtual world with no rules or fear it was inflated by 1000%. Online dating has always been full of men with awful pictures who spammed women's inboxes and finally Tinder eliminated this. All of those fucking idiots who ruined it for the small percentage are now being bypassed to begin with. They weren't getting anywhere with online dating to begin with so now they are no longer ruining it for everyone else. Obviously it's online dating so it's still not going to beat out your potential in real life but it's a massive improvement over the past and is a very easy way to get more numbers.

^^^^^^^^
I like the simplicity of Tinder vs. OKC/Match.
I don't like the tedium of filling out the profile on those other sites, and moreover find the interface to be cumbersome and overly complicated. I think those other sites can be good but for me Tinder involves the least time investment

That's one hell of a spike in the process of growing!
I am quite surprised how big PoF still is thought but if this Tinder spike continues it could reach PoF by the latter half of this year.
I do wonder why my Tinder is green and hard to ignite at present. I haven't met anyone from it since early December.
In the UK, Tinder has still far to go to reach PoF levels. Perhaps I should be using it, because it is a numbers game with the qualitative game coming much later.

I've tried telling the woman in person and also putting my real age in the profile itself and I have had much better luck putting it in the profile. I'm always changing my tinder profile around and one time forgot to put the disclaimer about my real age in. I had met a woman 14 years younger than me, hooked up with her on the first date and then I was at her place on our second date and in conversation mentioned my real age thinking she knew it already. She got pretty upset and in a 30% joking 70% serious way goes "you're a fucking liar!!" I laughed it off, fucked her again and never contacted her again.
