49yo guy meets over 500 women on the NYC subway
Fellow RVF member?
That Jasmine chic looks pretty cute.
http://nypost.com/2014/10/12/railway-rom...he-subway/
Quote:If you see some pretty young thing, say something.
That’s the mantra of Brian Robinson, a subterranean seducer who says the city’s subway system is the best place to score in the Big Apple.
“There’s always beautiful women down there — tons,” said Robinson, who used his own alleged triumphs to pen “How to Meet Women on the Subway,” out this week.
Robinson, 48, claims he has gone out with about 500 women since becoming a railway Romeo in 1999.
“My late Uncle Minor was a big womanizer — maybe that was part of my gift,” he said. “He got kicked out of nursing homes for pinching the nurses’ bottoms.”
Robinson’s time-tested approach is to pretend he’s lost and ask for directions.
“I would always say, ‘Is this local or express?’ and then say, ‘I hear an accent: Where are you from?’ It’s an awesome door-opener — 97 percent of all NYC women are from someplace else,” he said.
“No matter what place she says, say, ‘Wow, I’ve always wanted to visit your country/city, etc. . . . do you have e-mail?” Robinson suggested.
The trick, he says, is to have a quick conversation where you express interest in who she is and what she does — not trying to overtly hit on her. Then use the deadlines of the subway as an advantage: “I have to get off at the next stop and would love to continue this conversation. Can I get your e-mail address?”
The Post observed Robinson in action last week, and he was as smooth as advertised — getting digits or e-mails from four out of the five stunning straphangers he chatted up.
“Excuse me, does this train run along Sixth Avenue or Eighth Avenue?” he innocently asked Jasmine, 27.
“He was very engaging,” she said, rating Robinson’s technique a 7 out of 10. “He was persistent.”
“You need to just jump up and talk — it doesn’t hurt,” she continued. “At most you’ll get a bitch face.”
After a few minutes chatting on the F train, Jeanne Bucknam handed Robinson her card.
“He seemed like a nice enough person,” she said, saying he dived right in and asked what she did for a living.
And model Jerrica Patton liked that Robinson wasn’t an overbearing New Yorker.
“He was cordial,” she said. “He wasn’t aggressive.”
But there have been plenty of train wrecks, too.
“One time a woman reached into her purse and it looked like she had a little bottle of Mace,” Robinson recalled. “She said, ‘I don’t have time for this.’ She pulled it out — and then I got up and left.”

RE: 49yo guy meets over 500 women on the NYC subway
They did a good job documenting what it takes to succeed:
Quote:If you see some pretty young thing, say something. [Good inner game and self talk]
[Abundance mentality]
Robinson, 48, claims he has gone out with about 500 women since becoming a railway Romeo in 1999. [Consistent over time]
“My late Uncle Minor was a big womanizer — maybe that was part of my gift,” he said. “He got kicked out of nursing homes for pinching the nurses’ bottoms.” [Solid role models with DGAF game]
Robinson’s time-tested approach is to pretend he’s lost and ask for directions. [Classic indirect street opener]
“I would always say, ‘Is this local or express?’ and then say, ‘I hear an accent: Where are you from?’ It’s an awesome door-opener — 97 percent of all NYC women are from someplace else,” he said. [Smooth and consistent transition away from the opener]
“No matter what place she says, say, ‘Wow, I’ve always wanted to visit your country/city, etc. . . . do you have e-mail?” Robinson suggested. [Fast, tested, polished game. He is playing the stats - lots of approaches]
The trick, he says, is to have a quick conversation where you express interest in who she is and what she does — not trying to overtly hit on her. Then use the deadlines of the subway as an advantage: “I have to get off at the next stop and would love to continue this conversation. Can I get your e-mail address?” [Basic yet effective. It is this easy]
The Post observed Robinson in action last week, and he was as smooth as advertised — getting digits or e-mails from four out of the five stunning straphangers he chatted up. [Playing the odds. Doesn't get hung up on any single approach]
“Excuse me, does this train run along Sixth Avenue or Eighth Avenue?” he innocently asked Jasmine, 27. [48-27= Balls]
“He was very engaging,” she said, rating Robinson’s technique a 7 out of 10. “He was persistent.” [Another bang]
“You need to just jump up and talk — it doesn’t hurt,” she continued. “At most you’ll get a bitch face.” [She seems chill - Good target selection]
After a few minutes chatting on the F train, Jeanne Bucknam handed Robinson her card. [F TRAIN indeed]
“He seemed like a nice enough person,” she said, saying he dived right in and asked what she did for a living. [Just approach!]
And model Jerrica Patton liked that Robinson wasn’t an overbearing New Yorker. [Social intelligence]
“He was cordial,” she said. “He wasn’t aggressive.” [Venue aware approach]
But there have been plenty of train wrecks, too.
“One time a woman reached into her purse and it looked like she had a little bottle of Mace,” Robinson recalled. “She said, ‘I don’t have time for this.’ She pulled it out — and then I got up and left.” [Eject and reset]
Happy for him. Seems like a cool older guy enjoying his time in NY.

Leads yeah. But banging is tough due to logistics. If you're visiting and have a hotel room in Manhattan it's one thing. But if you work in Manhattan you most likely live outside of the city in NJ, Staten Island or Brooklyn. No girl is going to take a 45 minute ride to bang. Bar to bed time and distance should be 5 minutes or 2 blocks.
Don't be fooled by the allure of the city. Shitty studio apartments go for $2k+ a month. You need to make $100k just to be poor.

RE: 49yo guy meets over 500 women on the NYC subway
Gawker's recent response to the NY Post piece:
http://gawker.com/meet-the-asshole-who-h...1645480530
Condemning the art of making conversation as "bothering" women and being an "asshole" is probably one of the most disgusting things I've had the displeasure of reading recently. I saw the title and knew immediately that if I clicked on it, the tone was going to be one of bias in the highest order.
Quote:Brian Robinson, 49-year-old subway pickup artist, spoke to the New York Post in a piece that ran today about his triumphs and failures "since becoming a railway Romeo in 1999." The besuited roué boasts winning dates with "about 500 women" in New York City's underground transit system, and, holy shit, he sounds like a nightmare.
Sounds like a nightmare? Is he doing ridiculously obnoxious things and acting like those kids from the prank videos intentionally insulting and annoying people in Brooklyn and pretending instigating fights on video is a prank?
Quote:He tells the Post that the trick is to express interest in who she is and what she does, "not trying to overtly hit on her." Ha-ha, of course the interest in who she is and what she does is feigned in an effort to get her e-mail (if she has one) and, one day, into her pants. But she doesn't know that!
Oh. Well that sounds quite a bit the same as just talking to another human being. Shit, if you read the article, some of the examples given aren't much different than how two dudes in an airport bar might converse with each other. The only difference is that this dude is trying to meet girls specifically and the snark-volcano who wrote this article can't abide that.
Why immediately insult somebody for attempting human interaction? Unfortunately, ladies, this is the world you've created in which simply making conversation without a direction, a purpose, or with a "method" of improving results is slowly becoming less and less possible. If a woman engaged men on the subway and made friendly conversation (which I'm sure happens often), no man or woman would condemn her for doing anything "creepy" or "sleezy" or acting like an "asshole".
I expected nothing less than this considering the source, but I'm still disgusted by the tone. This isn't what journalism was ever meant to be at any level, even at its most biased. I normally wouldn't share articles like this but this particular one struck me as turning something innocent into a borderline "crime against women". God forbid somebody has friendly conversation with you on public transportation instead of assuming you're such an awful person you would reach for a "can of mace" because you "don't have time for this".

RE: 49yo guy meets over 500 women on the NYC subway
The Gawker article is feminism in a nutshell:
A man is a creep and pervert for wanting to have sex with women - 500 in 14 years - which is not a big number if you do Game actively.
A woman aged 49 would be a superheroine of feminism who explores her sexuality and battles patriarchy with her stupendous promiscuity.
Current feminist perception on sexuality:
1. All straight male sexuality is bad except in the confines of a feminine imperative serving joy-boy lover or husband/provider (the latter only to the degree which suits the wife - she may withhold sex at all times and bestow her lust onto her lover at any moment with the sacred empowered blessing of her husband)
2. Women have to make the choices (that is a contradiction in itself since only less than 1% of men get approached actively due to extreme fame or looks) The other 99% of men should wait.
3. All female sexuality is sacred and empowering - no matter how degrading or what the consequences are - porn, cuckoldry, 5000-notch-count, fuck-all-you-can-want buffet. (Never mind the fact that a woman getting laid is 99,9% less challenging than a man finding a woman to fuck.)

RE: 49yo guy meets over 500 women on the NYC subway
^^^beautiful post.
It boils down to the people at Gawker/Jezebel angry because they don't get the attention. The photo of the guy talking to a young, thin, pretty woman combined with the opening line "If you see some pretty young thing, say something" just sets them off. I'd ask them why a guy is an "asshole" for talking to women which is in no way "harassing", but I wouldn't get any sort of logical answer.
Because nothing pisses off a feminist more than attention paid to an attractive woman. Just a week or so ago they were furious about the Subway ad featuring a pretty, young, thin woman talking about staying shape for Halloween. Of course the whole basis of these Subway ads came from Jared, who advocated losing weight. Where were the feminists then? The answer is they don't care if it's a guy they consider beneath them (i.e. a goofball like Jared).
Feminists rage comes from two things 1) Men who they consider beneath them hitting on them. 2) Men hitting on women prettier than them.
In other words, reality.
