Yep, that chick is one hot slut and the guy was in the wrong environment to have her stay faithful. I think that faithfulness is an intersection of willpower and temptation. You never know what's going on in people's heads. My amateur armchair psychological opinion is that the dude was probably bipolar and coming out of a depression (triggered by his wife leaving - or maybe the depression triggered her leaving - who knows.) and going into a manic phase. It's a common misconception that people who kill themselves are always depressed. Often times with bipolars they do it when they're manic and feeling great. The problem is in the manic state there's no impulse control so those fleeting thoughts that most people don't even notice become actions before they can stop it.

Many people assume that the kind of woman I describe above (the physically elite woman who aggressively seeks attention from many men and never fully reciprocates the emotional investment men place in her) would fall in line with a "super-alpha" male who was dominant and "high-status" enough to "keep her in line", and would thus be more capable of maintaining a healthy, romantically reciprocal relationship with such a woman than other men.

This is true, but only to a limited extent. The physically elite, aggressive attention-seeker cannot be fully satisfied by the attention of any one man, regardless of how good he is. A highly capable man can keep a lid on this for a period of time and satiate her (and he can probably do so for a longer period of time than most other men), but never for long - eventually, she'll need to refill her validation stores with the attention of many other men, not just the one. Granted, while I maintain that the "alpha/beta" dichotomy doesn't matter as much as people think with regard to these women, more dominant/alpha/high status men do have one major advantage over other men in their dealings with these women: they are less inclined to make a serious emotional investment, meaning that they are more likely to remain sane in their dealings with these women. The physically elite aggressive attention seeker is at her peak during her physical prime, a point at which she is most able to seek the greatest amount of attention (and validation) from the greatest number of men. The greater the amount of validation/attention she can gain from many men, the less likely she is to be willing to "settle" for the attentions of one man for very long. There are many physically elite young women who avoid relationships altogether in their youth for, in part, this very reason. They will often say that too many men are too willing to invest in them too quickly and that is indeed a factor (young guys are needy and they have problems finding a dude who doesn't cling too quickly to them), but equally important is the fact that they are in their prime, can get A LOT of validation from A LOT of men, and don't want to jeopardize that situation by getting attached to one guy. The attention-whoring takes on a different form. Instead of being a party girl and going from guy-to-guy, these women quench their thirst for attention by having affairs with personal trainers and bosses and aggressively flirting with every guy who strikes their fancy.

Most people don't change. At least not that much. This is why sluts make bad wives.

So if you plan on marrying, it's not only important, but ESSENTIAL you take into account a woman's past when deciding whether to build a future with her. This is WHY slut-shaming evolved. These women are bad bets/damaged goods. Bingo. This is something I forgot to mention in my previous post. I noted the two types of physically elite woman in my last post.

The first is the physically elite woman who is not an aggressive attention-seeker and will reciprocate emotional investment.
The second is the physically elite woman who aggressively seeks attention and needs constant male validation.

I mentioned that one can identify the first by their willingness to do certain things: make public appearances almost exclusively with their significant others (the only other men they're seen with being clearly platonic and/or gay), engage in a lot of PDA with their significant others and avoid putting themselves in the kind of position Cleary was photographed in.

There's one more way to spot these women: children. More specifically, these women are generally more willing to have children with these men early, even if said men are not particularly famous or high status (and, thus, can't do all that much for her attention seeking). Their desire to begin a life with the men they care about outweighs their desire to continue seeking attention and comes even ahead of their career (which is usually based on their physical appearance and generally isn't aided by pregnancy).

Some of the Victoria's Secret Models are a great example of this. Exhibit A: Doutzen Kroes.

She's a VS Angel, one of the most highly desired and highly compensated women on Earth. At 24, still in her physical prime, she meets a man and starts a relationship. He's a DJ, and not a particularly well known one: she makes more than he does and is certainly more famous. She marries him at age 25, gives birth to his child at age 26. She's 29 now and about ready to give birth to her second.

She could have spent that time in her mid-twenties soliciting the attention of famous men and getting around with them. As a physically elite woman, she had more than enough leverage to do so. In fact, she still does, even at nearly 30.

Instead, she gave up that opportunity to start a relationship with a relatively unknown guy she just happened to like. She married this man (taking herself right off the market in her physical prime and undermining her ability to receive direct solicitations from the many famous men she could encounter during her work), and then quickly had a child for him (despite the fact that it would impact her greatest moneymaking asset - her body). Now she's having another one for him. Why?

Her love and desire for this man outshines her love and desire for the validation of many other men. She enjoys the full atttention and adoration of this single man more than she enjoys receiving the attention of dozens of other men (even famous ones).

There are other women like Doutzen, though they're in the minority. Her co-worker Alessandra Ambrosio is another good example, as is Candice Swanepoel (who, though childless, has been very clearly committed to the same no-name dude since age 18). This is the kind of physically elite woman who won't punish you for emotionally investing in her because her need for male validation isn't too high. You will be enough for her, and she'll give you back as much love as you give her. Healthy relationships can be built on this foundation.

A woman like Katie Cleary is another story entirely. She will avoid reciprocation for as long as she can because she depends on the attention of many other men. Their validation (and its ability to satisfy her insecurities) will always matter more than your affection.
This undermines the growth of a healthy relationship. You either invest in her and never get much back (while suffering as she solicits more from other men), or you don't invest at all. Neither scenario lends itself to the growth of a long, healthy union.

Hate to sound like some kind of conspiracy theorist and/or gun nut but it's easier to blame the guy's mental state in this case (or the gun lobby if it's a school shooting) than broach the topic of how we're the most overmedicated society on the planet and how it's fucking so many people up.

yeah seriously she's soon hitting the wall and is getting too old to have kids in a couple years anyway + given how she's such an attention whole and to 'game' her you should not invest too much and validate why the hell would you want to wife that up AND then compound the error with a child? Why the hell get married anyway esp in the US if you're this guy? Wayyyy too much to lose.

Anyone who finds those shows cool, to me, just seem to be missing the point. I watched that Millionaire Matchmaker show the first year but it was just because I like watching emotionally damaged people do stupid stuff. I know, clearly I must have some problem also. Just not stupid enough to go on TV and confirm it for the world.

I do get your point of view, and it's exactly why I do feel bad for the guy. He literally did everything by the book to be the good guy. He wanted to be a difference maker by running his charity since he had a successful business. Believed everything he was told and wanted to find the "one and only" to grow old with. He was damaged because he fallowed the script, and most people want to fallow that script.

Thanks to the manosphere we're out of the dangerous waters here, but if this extremely good looking and successful business man wanted to believe in the script, how many men will want to fallow his footstep? Many, and then more potential casualty by suicide or murder-suicide, then speech on the evil patriarchy causing this and the cycle keeps on going and swallowing fresh new recruits to reproduce the same results.
