When I was younger, I would run to and from the gym, 2 miles roundtrip, just to be able to workout.

I would do that 5x a week for 6 months straight. Looking back, that always got me pumped for a great gym session.

Brings me to another point: assisted pull up machines Who the fuck actually uses these? Why do I see self respecting, non-obese young men using these?

All these pencil necks who train 'only for looks' are so fucking pathetic. They have no concept of 'a base of strength'.

Can't remember who said it, but it was either here or Roissy: These are the buck slaves of a modern generation, masculine on the outside, but fundamentally weak and powerless on the inside.

I don't understand assisted anything machine. Exceptions for the elderly or those with injuries. At my gym they get a much heavier use than squat racks, and I've seen it all. There are several dudes that do deadlifts in the smith rack and bounce the weights off the floor, and make a huge amount of noise and fanfare while doing so.

I've mentioned that she should send him to Private School when he's old enough (because the US public school system has become a giant mangina foundry that peddles in 'feels' and not facts and knowledge).
