WestCoast, we have over 150 million working people in this country, not all of them can work on the oil fields, do X-rays or draw blood. You're out of touch with the economy, as most Wall Street guys are. I'm not trying to knock you - if you want to be successful in your field you need to be hyper-focused and driven like you are - I just don't think you're really in touch with the reality of the economic situation for the average American, who has lived with stagnant or declining wages for decades while the country has been flooded with immigrants.

I'm "part-brown" as well as "part-white" and "part-yellow" and I live in one of the least non-white States in the country.

The story is no different here. We now have Micronesians flooding into our State, "doing the jobs those on welfare won't do," as well as brazenly committing crimes like robbing tourists in broad daylight.

Give the Mexicans and brown people their cocacola and let them sing in Chinese or whatever. That game sucked that's probably why people were pissed off. I bet the people tweeting were all Broncos fans.

Good question. My parents immigrated legally to this country to obtain higher education, and subsequently raised their american born children here while contributing (conservatively) millions of USD over the years in taxes and real estate and the general costs associated with sending kids to universities and graduate schools. All of the money earned by working was spent here in this country, not send overseas to help foreign families and relatives.

Given our past, I have little problem with importing a reasonable amount of some of the best and brightest talent from around the world, but I fail to see what positive gains over the long term will come from massive ethnic conclaves of impoverished Guatemalans and Somalis in our communities.

Actually in Maine, all the white people are doing the petty jobs.

We have Somali teachers in our schools, Somali officers on the police force (not an easy feat, MN is one of two states where you need a degree to become an officer), and just elected our first Somali politician - they're even represented fairly well between democrats and republicans. Back in 2006 Somali's owned over 600 businesses in Minnesota, and I'm sure that number has only grown since then.

One of countless examples. Add Nigerians, Indians, Vietnamese,
Lebanese, Iranians, Cubans, pretty much any "South American" country, etc to that list.

These groups add value.

Look at Elon Musk. South African man who always felt like an American trapped in the wrong country. Look at the outsized value he's created since coming here. Tesla, Paypal (huge benefit), etc.

Hell, at one point the military was offering citizenship to illegals in exchange for service since recruitment levels have dropped significantly ever since the US transitioned to voluntary service.

You know, I've got a lot more to say on this particular topic. Anyone wants to see the end result of unimpeded migrations of foreigners effects on a native culture, look no further than Hawaii. We who are of Hawaiian ancestry are minorities in our own homeland. Our native language and many of our practices came very close to extinction. We've been utterly diluted by mass miscegenation. And yet, we survive. Why? Because many of us have strived to revive and maintain many of our old cultural practices, values and ideals - and the most important way to do this? Most Hawaiian cultural practitioners teach anyone of any race or creed as long as they are honestly interested in learning and perpetuating the Hawaiian culture....aka ASSIMILATE.

The Hawaiian hula school will teach hula to any and all students willing to learn and assimilate into the culture of Hawaiian hula. But the student MUST conform to the rites, practices and values of the school they seek to join.

The hula school does not allow a group of Mexican students to start holding mariachi dance lessons in the middle of their school on a regular basis, disrupting their own Hula lessons...and if the Mexicans wanted to try that, the Hawaiian Hula school would have every right to kick them out without being called "racists" and "bigots."

We got people from all over the globe that migrated here. Difference is, until quite recently, most of these migrants "assimilated" into the unique culture of Hawaii. But it seems like in the last decade or so, we are getting our own "migrant enclaves" who have no interest in assimilating to the culture at large, but rather seek to live like a parasite off of it...just like all over the US and Europe.

To oppose this is not "racist." I think "white" Americans have every right to want to preserve their cultural heritage (but then, I think the same for the Native Americans who would wish to kick all the whites out and take back their homeland.)

"White" American cultural identity only emerged, because all the Euro-races put aside their former Nationalist identities and assimilated to a common "American" one.

This is not what we are seeing in places all over the world today.
