I do remember that commercial, but I didn't even realize that there was a white mother in it (I muted and went back to my laptop, what could a little daughter and a father have to say about Cheerios that could possibly interest me?), however, in general, the MSM does seem to like to promote black male/white female pairings.

I thought the same thing. Not sure if others will agree but it must be said that neither Montana (4-0) nor Brady (3-2) ever stunk out the joint like that in a Super Bowl. Elway on the other hand knows how Manning feels Peyton was pretty good with one big mistake against New Orleans, but tonight was just unbelievably shitty.

ESPN said something like of the top 9 scoring offenses in NFL history, not one of them won a Super Bowl. (Interesting how the top three involved either Randy Moss and Wes Welker twice apiece).

Funny thing is if you look at the stats without watching the game, it looks like Peyton played reasonably well. But nobody watching play by play thought that Manning was anything near his normal accuracy, strength or overall performance.

Best defense = best chance to win championship.

Hell, even in boxing....Floyd Mayweather is the best defensive boxer and best overall.

This is a day Manning haters have been jerking themselves off about for years. In New England states tonight, it must feel like THEY won the Super Bowl. They can't even give the guy credit for winning a Super Bowl, it's always, "the Bears were awful, etc."

Fact is if Montana, Staubach and Unitas were taking turns QBing for Denver they still would have lost, and if ANYONE were QBing for Seattle they still would have won.

Sure. I don't feel the need to kick Manning any more than the Seahawks just did, but I was hoping the "greatest QB ever" would have found a way to move the ball against a good defense. Do we not expect great players to perform even against great challenges? That's what makes them great, I'm told. The magnitude of the difference between the record-setting regular season and total Super Bowl annihilation just further underscores the "great stats, lousy playoffs" meme.
