I spent some time in a uni in germany and have also come to this conclusion. The level of neediness of some girls were extreme, girls wanted to spend the whole weekend together, from friday after class till sunday night, plus every night of the week they wanted to sleep over.

I view this as a foreigner this way, because among the german men I met, the university aged ones behaved like spoiled children, they expected women to approach, and do much of the leg work to make it happen. The older men were working cyborgs, there was not a lot of life in their eyes...

About the sleepover, that's actually my biggest problem, my logistics. I still live together with my parents, no chance for bringing them home to me. I went out tonight on a student party.
While it seemed that you could nearly talk to anybody , the chicks didn't really respond good to flirting. It seemed to me that most of them just were there to get to known new people and friends, not guys.
I did talk to alot of girls there , eventually I got to known this 9/10 with a goddamn killer body that passes for me as a 10/10.
She was eyeing me before all the time already, with cold death stares.. you know, germany style.
The conversation was going good at the beginning, and I even got to isolate her, but then the typical german girl behaviour kicked in and she was just standing there demanding to be entertained by me. The biggest problem was we were on the dancefloor and she said she mainly listens to rock and can't dance to this. The vibe she was putting off was quite abrasive and she looked bored, couldn't get even a little smile out of her face. I already knew that this isn't going to lead anywhere, I didn't even knew how to flirt with her since she was cold like a frozen fish. I tried to grab her a bit every now to get her into some kind movement, but she just wouldn't do anything and just stand there.
Some moments later she said she wants to go to sleep anyway and left the student party, I didn't even want ask for her number.
Later I got to known another sweet girl, who , oh surprise, was a very open and communicative girl. She laughed alot at the things I said. She wasn't really that feminine though , and although we hit off very positive, she also responded negative to my attempt of dancing with her. Luckily I already beforehand got her #, but I don't expect anything from it. Soo yes, german girls give me a tough time, I don't know how to attack them, to what kind of flirting they are responding good.
I find it sad that even if the girl really really likes you at the first moment, you can pretty much fuck it up within minutes because of dumb small things and she won't forgive you. They rarely put in any effort, and demand being entertained by you.
I feel like a guy knocking on their door and trying to sell them shit. Since body language doesn't work at all on german girls, how do I flirt with them? cool idea you got there with daygaming. yea , we have alot of chicks here in cologne. it's also quite diverse. similiar to berlin.
good thing is: people in cologne are quite open, i hear alot we're like the chattiest bunch of people in germany by far. short discussions and smalltalk with stranges are to be seen quite often. especially when you go out on the evening.

I'm surprised to hear your findings about German girls not making eye contact etc - One of the things I love about going to Germany is that girls are way more willing to make eye contact than the UK. I'm only really familiar with Hamburg though, could be different elsewhere.

Im German and its true gaming here in GErmany is BRUTAL!
It became really apparent to me after living in Prague for one semester, where I had a blast and was making out with different chicks every week, banging multiple gfs. I could never reach a level of success like that in Germany and I tried.

German women are IMO first of all not very attractive and have ZERO sexual vibe.
Compared to other nationalities they simply look ugly or plain. The faces are not very pretty, the bodies are often not in a great shape and the asses are often wide yet flat.

The personalities are pretty shitty. Chicks are cold and dont show a lot of emotion. If you approach a chick and shes NOT into you then she can be really fucking rude.
Again Czech chicks were usually really nice and had some social skills, even if they were not into me they would respect me and treat me nice. Not so German chicks they can be real cunts.

No, this is usually not the case. While the women in the regions of germany do differ in terms of behaviour, I wouldn't say it is because of the influence of the bordering country, but more of a cultural thing that developed more or less independent over hundreds of years.
You can go to the german-polish border , and although a polish and german city there might be not even a kilometer apart from each other, the difference is trendemously.
But this could also be because the german society pretty much blocks and freezes off everything non-germanic.

BTW Stuttgart and Karlsruhe are particulary conservative and very posh.
The stereotype of "its forbidden to talk someone if you don't know them" becomes very true there, and nobody goes out there to meet new people, but to celebrate with their inner circle of friends.
...Atleast that's what a stuttgart-friend of mine tells me, who feels like heaven in Cologne because people are pretty social here.

Well you're playing the foreigner card, which is actually the best you can do here.
German girls aren't really emotionally tied, if there's no logical reason why you talk to them , they'll block you off most of the time ( I'm talking about daygame) .
As a foreigner you can always pull some silly shit and lame lines, everything will be excused because well, you're a lost foreigner!

Yea, social circle plays a big role. Most people build their social circle in their school time, in their teens and aren't that eager about getting to know more people, but rather stay in their small circle of friends.

German men, no matter how good looking, no matter how alpha/high the status, usually don't have the balls to approach women. They simply try to impress and then pray for the woman to make the next move. This is the way it usually works. Needless to say, many guys spend a great deal of their best years horny and lonely if they are not in a LTR.

Its really quite sad when you think about it.

You can eventually find normal girls if you play the numbers. Its pretty brutal though as the girls who are NOT into you will shoot you down hard. Just staring at their iphone, barking at you, straight out ignoring you. Woot, I think there are hot girls in Germany, especially in the north.

I find that, at least in Germany, beauty is strongly correlated with social class. While some countries may have simple girls who are pretty, this rareley ever seems to be the case in Germany. I recently moved from a university town to a non university town of about the same size and the drop off in terms of quality was insane. I stopped going out after a while because the quality was so low that it was simply a waste of time. Most simple girls in Germany nowadays tend to be on the chubby side and/or simply look bland.

The girls I want are almost exclusively university students, the problem with that though is that it's hard to meet them if you're not part of their social circle. Many don't go to clubs that often but rather party at home or go out to bars/cafes, restaurants with their friends.

So you see this group of two or three hot girls enjoying their Cafe Latte at some Starbucks venue but this is Germany and of course, being a typical German, you wouldn't start a conversation at places like these as this is outside of the norm for us Germans.

Roosh has done a video on this subject ( meeting girls at coffee bars in the US vs. Europe) and it's true, especially in Germany.

Regarding the other problems that have been adressed in this thread - yes, German women are cold but they can be feminine if you play your part right. The more alpha/masculine etc. you are, the more feminine the woman will be. But German men are usually rather timid so the whole vibe feels strange with the man being the shy insecure part and the women being the dominant alpha.

another observation from the german girls i know who are in uni or shortly after leaving uni is many of them fall into (or at least are interested in) the vegan/vegatarian lifestyles, liberal leftie, live and let live mindset and many of them are pc to the max and expect you to be too

I'll add my two cents...

It may depend on where you live. I don't know too much about Köln, but in general, there are several ways in which you can go about this.

1.) SGG: Standard German Game:
If you want to do this like most Germans, you're best bet is to to develop a BIG social circle and be indirect. This is something I've heard and learned time and time again from German girls. As a general rule: (A) they don't respond well to directness, and (B) they don't like being caught sport-fucking, especially not with guys outside their social circle. This means...
- House Parties(!)
- frequenting bars and clubs in mxed groups, especially the type in which your buddies bring (female) friends of friends of collegues etc. Forget that rolling-solo shit in Germany. You approach a group of girls or guys alone and without at least two wingmen to distract their friends (at least one of whom will likely be a guy), and you're getting cock-blocked like a motherfucker with immediate blowouts almost certain. Plus, if you're alone in a club, you'll be marked as the 'weird one' fairly quickly.

2.) Daygame:
In my opinion, foreign students react much more openly to daygame and random chit-chat from strangers, so you might want to keep this in mind and target foreign students at university campuses or tourist spots. If you're learning/can speak a foreign language other than English, you might want to look out for girls from that country.
If you're going after the locals, you'll likely notice varying results. Quite a few will be open to conversation, but by and large, they'll be less flirtatious than other nationalities. Asking for directions and other random elderly chit-chat is likely you're best option.

I can't say much about online game in Germany, since I've never done it. Other than that, happy hunting.

It is not true, that german guys don't approach. It depends on the region and circumstances, but the competition is fierce at the moment.
