I was browsing news this morning and it looks like CNN just did a copy/paste of the kid’s letter. In other words, they are distancing themselves from it and implying that they stand by their earlier biased story.

Good to see some other news outlets back peddling now after getting a generous serving of egg in their face, between this Covington story and the Mueller statement. Shit, I even saw some cat ladies apologizing to the kid on Twitter.

Damn, I really thought young men would be screwed with all of the propaganda going into kids their age for "men to be better." That's a very vulnerable period to be influenced. It took me a few days to catch up to this, but I saw some liberals freaking out over it. Kind of agree with the above that there's definitely some clear anti-white racism going on. But, I have learned from Gillette not to blame the normies. We need to blame the media for stroking fires. CNN is without a doubt the biggest culprit of this. I've read a few recent articles that make the term "straight white male" into such a hated thing over there.

I'm not going to sit here and pretend that other races don't experience this though. Half of us have been to other continents, I've seen racism basically against every race. This is something I really try to make clear to Americans that haven't been abroad. Every race is guilty of being racist to another race. What's fascinating though is all the self-hating white people. Especially the girls. It's almost always girls. Those really drive me mad at times.

Back on topic, this high school kid really passed every major shit test in the book. He did not get angry, did not get violent, did not slander those threatening him, and best of all, HE DID NOT APOLOGIZE. He even took it one step further by actually talking lawsuits. I don't blame him. The one thing that greatly concerns me, no matter what race or gender the person is, is how easily people are willing to dox personal information and threaten violence. Think about this. Imagine being set up by the media for a very misleading moment that results in you having "the most punchable face in America" and then having your parents' address released on the internet. We saw it with Roosh and this happens far too often.

I remember the worst thing to happen on the internet were phantom death threats. Now, the threats are a lot more real with personal address and personal detail doxxing. All without any proof.

I know we talk about potential bad times, but the funny thing is the reaction I got from this is that we must be living pretty good if the best thing we have for people to get pissed off about is a 17 year old boy smirking....

I hope the right takes a good long look at this situation and thinks long and hard about the realities facing us. It doesn't matter how pacifist you are as we've seen with this kid. It doesn't matter how good of a person you are, as we can see with this falsely accused guy who got doxxed. Ben Shapiro does an excellent breakdown of what went on with the kids and the media. He also brings up the facts that 1). The Indian man is out-and-out lying and 2). The kid basically did nothing but became a media "enemy" anyway.

I'd seen the misguided coverage of this story, but had no idea reporters were Tweeting about this. It has to be seen to be believed. There is some serious anti-white male hatred out there from the media.

It's not that I don't think things can get worse, it's just that I was thinking more along the lines of when people get bored and are satisfied with basic comforts, they need to find something to complain about. It is human nature. Minor example. When I was in college, something a lot of students would complain about was when other students would take the elevator up one floor. Or the college slogan or parking available. These in reality were very small problems of people living in a bubble where they didn't have any real problems to deal with. Yet they complained about it like it was a humanitarian crisis. I tend to look at this the same way.

I'm far from an optimist, but I find it very hard to sell the idea that we have it worse off than our ancestors. My dad told me about times when he was growing up in the 60's. The biggest issue for their family was the Vietnam War. Guys my age at that time (and the kid's age) had to be worried about being drafted into a deadly war. The generation before that was even worse with World War II. Hell even the Korean War was an ugly draw. It got to a point where some of them considered fleeing to Canada.

With that said, don't take this as me dismissing the idea that a fire can't be raised by the media, especially if the economy gets tougher. I just think that this isn't a new thing. It's been tried before in America. I've read up on McCarthyism and how people were basically on a witch hunt for anyone that questioned the narrative. Particularly people in Hollywood. Sound familiar? Sure, things can get bad. But America has shown that it has the ability to call out bullshit and put a stop to it eventually. And this was when people didn't have information and videos available to them at the click of a button. These people lost jobs, never recovered in their careers, some even were even jailed.

Stories like this do have cause for concern, but it also has cause to think that maybe some people are catching onto bullshit a bit more...

I did not do that, do not have hateful feelings in my heart, and did not witness any of my classmates doing that.

I cannot speak for everyone, only for myself. But I can tell you my experience with Covington Catholic is that students are respectful of all races and cultures. We also support everyone's right to free speech.
I am not going to comment on the words or account of Mr. Phillips, as I don't know him and would not presume to know what is in his heart or mind. Nor am I going to comment further on the other protestors, as I don't know their hearts or minds, either.

I have read that Mr. Phillips is a veteran of the United States Marines. I thank him for his service and am grateful to anyone who puts on the uniform to defend our nation. If anyone has earned the right to speak freely, it is a U.S. Marine veteran.

I can only speak for myself and what I observed and felt at the time. But I would caution everyone passing judgement based on a few seconds of video to watch the longer video clips that are on the internet, as they show a much different story than is being portrayed by people with agendas.

I can only hope that these are platitudes designed for public consumption and that internally this dude feels a burning, seething, murderous hatred at those responsible for his defamation. Hatred is an evolutionary adaptation that increases fitness. An inability to experience it leads to the type of self flagellating responses we see after Islamics shoot up a concert (Bataclan) or illegal aliens murder a daughter (Molly Tibbets). An inability to experience hatred leads to extinction, which is why whites stand on the brink of it.
