I'm not saying it's right - it's just unlikely because the amount of funds recovered is how the IRS auditor is judged. He'd much rather go after a successful celebrity that's deducting his Maserati or a hedge fund manager that's sending millions in "professional fees" to mysterious third parties in Malta. More money to gather, more likely to recover.

The IRS sends out "be on the look out (BOLO)" messages to its auditors, but really they're looking at returns in the $500k+ range and really only interested in the ones in the millions when actively investigating.

Most audits are automatically triggered by suspicious behavior like people reporting lots of losses on their schedule C's for a few years in a row.

On that note....unfortunately, I don't think there's much that can be done if you want to turn in an Instagram Ho (I assume it's a chica?) to the Feds. If she's getting paid in cash, chances are it's considered a "gift" from whomever is sponsoring her and technically they (the givers) are the ones who are supposed to pay taxes on gifts over a certain amount ($14,000 in 2018). So she is pretty much in the clear there.

As far as the free shit she gets, it's pretty much the same deal. The only case off the top of my head where she could be liable for taxes is if she wins cashes and prizes as a result of some sort of contest, like a Wet T-Shirt event or perhaps a competition for who can handle being shit on by the most Dubai locals, and even then the amounts would be hard to measure and/or prove.

One way to screw with them is to (anonymously) let them know they've been reported to the IRS for failure to claim any of the above. Even though they aren't actually required to report it, it'll likely scare the shit out of them and lessen their quality of life for a few days. Sort of like what's happening with this whole #thotaudit phenomenon. Nothing wrong with some harmless fun right?
