The one thing about hentai, though, beyond the look, is they present stories. Hentai (at least the standard variety and not tentacle/rape stuff) is pretty much the animated equivalent of your old 80s teen sex comedies. It leans heavily on titilation and anticipation and makes you wait for the big payoff. The girls are always bending over in miniskirts and accidentally falling into guys' laps. The company Daz3D already appeals to the print ad market with their virtual mannequins. At best sex dolls will equalize and normalize gender relations. No more female entitlement because the source of their entitlement (male thirst) will no longer be a factor once sex bots/VR become realistic enough. But it won't eliminate the need for women entirely.

A much bigger benefit and boon to men would be a cheap and effective fat loss drug. This would increase the supply of normal (6-7 range) women in countries with high obesity rates. Countries like the US with shit quality women would get noticeably easier and better for men.

It`s a fair point, but the dolls might in the end be totally realistic! The first cloned hamburger has already been grown (in a lab) and safely consumed. Apparently it tasted good also. So we might have some kind of doll with real cloned human flesh available eventually. One huge advantage here would be..no STD`s. This is a huge selling point for me if this ever comes to fruition.

I think narcissism is more complicated than self hatred. At a narcissists core is shame and self hatred, but they seldom acknowledge it mentally to themselves, and almost never verbally to others.

So in a practical level, it is a grandiose level of self esteem that brooks no interference.

I have read in the psych literature that the lower a narcissist goes, the more superior they feel, and I have met people like this, comedians bombing and saying after the show, "What's wrong with these people, that was great material," or even any fatty who demands unconditional love from others.

I think the reason they destroy themselves is that their fake self esteem is so great, they think they are worthy and lovable no matter how much they destroy themselves.

This also explains the doubling down.

Marriage rates are already going down in the western countries while birth rates are holding steady. More men are co-habitating but not doing the marriage dog and pony show.

I don't think birth rates will go anywhere, but marriage will decline with more male choices and options.

I think you're missing Leonard's point. He's coming from a world-view in which not behaving in a traditionally masculine manner is seen as a grave dereliction of biological duty. Frankly, it's not very realistic. We're pretty well into the 21st century and for better or worse a lot of what-if stories from sci-fi are going to play themselves out before our eyes. From the data I`ve seen, the white women`s fertility rate is still trending downwards towards 1.0 child per woman. You have to factor in the migrant births also, they`re not separated from Anglos in the official statistics. Not in Europe at least. In Norway the last 3 years has seen what is a huge negative trend statistically speaking. (1.62 now, not subtracting non-whites as I said.)
