If you’ve got basic fundamentals down then you’re going to better off than most guys in the city.

If you can’t go talk to a chick in the club you’re not going to do well in the Bay or anywhere else for that matter.

The main Cons that people always list for the bay are:

- too many guys
- not enough fly women
- not a good scene

None of these are really a problem because...

Most of the guys are gay or herbs.

There are plenty of fly girls if you know where to go. I listed about 30 good spots in my data sheet where you can find fly chicks on the regular.

So the CONS that most people list are really PROS of the Bay.

- no competition
- fly girls in specific spots
- good scene when you know where to look.

Not to mention it is the top destination in the US for

- alternative chicks
- hippie chicks
- burner chicks
- crunchy yoga girls
- sales and customer support girls
- chicks that smoke tree and can roll blunts

Not to mention California is a very diverse state and you can run in to crazy fly mixes like Black-Serbian girls, Persian-Mexican girls and Sudanese-Asian chicks.

It is not HARD to find these girls or to get in with them or to have them stressing you because the only other guys they know are gay or herbs (no really 90% of the guys in the city fit this).

Anyway you need to ask yourself where you went and whether you were going to good spots (ie anything listed in my sheet) or if you were hanging at pier 49 and wondering why everyone looked like a fat tourist (hint it’s cause they are fat tourists).

If anybody is heading to SF, they should definitely read your guide before going. I think it's applicable to everyone in terms of finding the right spots.

How well a particular guy does in SF tends to hinge on his looks and style in my opinion. You mention at one point using a well tailored suit. That's pretty much like walking around wearing lingerie to women.

Regarding the male competition. I felt like they had some pretty solid guys at the spots I hit. However, I also have noticed women from SF flying up to Seattle for the weekend to hunt for Boyfriends, so they probably share your perception of the men there.

Final thought. SF is one of those California cities that has a high degree of racial segregation by neighborhood. I lived there in 2007 and it was a weird experience. So, the white girls in the city are predominantly left leaning politically... and when white guys visit this city this is generally what they look for and chase. Because they are left leaning they will treat black guys very different on approach than they treat white guys. This is why you hear the disparity in comments about the city. About 10 years ago I did very, very well with Asian women and the black girls in Oakland. I learned long ago that when dealing with black women, I can get away with doing things that I just can't with white girls. The expectation for me is just different. I wish women would just treat us all like men, but it's not going to happen. You either roll with the stereotype in their head or if get a chance bust through it.

Hitting the marina at any regular time will give you plenty of basic white chicks to get at.

Also plenty of bottle blonde cougar types around there too.

Not really my thing when there are way more exotic better looking girls everywhere in the city.

But there are white girls all over the city.

Not to mention every white girl in the East bay is basically down from the jump.

Or the acro-yoga burner girls who are also down.

Or the mid-level account executives that work for every happy hour spot downtown from 4-6 during the week.

Daygame is a lost cause. Online is the toughest market in the country. Nightgame is OK, but far behind most major cities. The biggest advantage with nightgame is, like you said, the lack of competition from other guys.

The suggestions in your blog post are solid and match my experience. I don't really think it's possible to run nightgame in Oakland with any expectation of numbers, though.

I have daygamed for over 20+ hours in downtown San Francisco and various places around Oakland. 100+ approaches, 30+ numbers. It has yielded almost nothing. The quantity and quality of approachable women are extremely low. I see hotter girls on Tinder, and daygame girls have been as flaky, or flakier than girls on Tinder, and less DTF.

What would your suggested route be for Oakland nightgame? I am willing to try it out and prove you right or wrong. I'll go out one night to the exact venues in exact order you say, and post a field report here.

I'm not in town this weekend. I've been to multiple First Fridays and never really found them worthy of game. A bunch of mostly 5s and 6s in social circles and mixed groups.

Your sheet basically discusses date locations. Small bars with like... 20 women max. Nightgame thrives on volume.

Like I said, give me spots to hit up in order in Oakland on any night and I'll go out and devote 3-4 hours to the cause and post a field report here.

If you couldn’t get any play at First Friday I don’t know what you’re working with.

Oakland is not a club spot (but the Bay is not a club city)

It is a lounge and chop it up spot.

So if you can’t do groups and can’t make anything happen without running through 50 sets then you may not be suited for it.

If I go in a spot and there are groups and a few fly girls then I’m good.

Groups don't go out in Oakland with the intention of letting other people into their group. It's very insular.

And 4/5 places you go into won't have a single attractive girl in the group.

It's been about a decade since I was banging Oakland, but I remember the nightlife a bit more like this.



A lot of the women were fat to my recollection, but there was usually a couple of good looking women in crowd. You had to have an edge over the competition because everyone goes for the handful of hot girls.

I felt like I did pretty well in Oakland back then. Offers of THC got me laid on more than one occasion.

Yeah except fly girls are always walking in when you're at a good spot.

If you spend 10 hours out at some spots in The Town and get no play and see NO girls that you'd want... well the issue isn't the city.

Basically every time I've gone out in The Town I find enough fly chicks to make the night fun and to walk away with something.

Again, if you need to chat up 50 girls to get one to hook then Oakland may not be the place for you.

But if you have Game and can actually work a group to get in with the ones that have the fly girls... then you can clean up.

This is a fairly accurate assessment. I would add Oakland has the largest and most diverse queer female population in the country. I would say 40% of the females in the bay area females are bisexual... especially in the East Bay. So not only are you competing with other dudes, you've also got women to worry about. It's really a complete shitshow. The only place worth a visit is Santa Rosa. The only guys I know who rave about Oakland and SF are pretty busted dudes...or are old dudes. This is what guys in the Bay Area are going for...

I'm an older dude and I do not rave about any of that. Got to agree with the overall negative vibe - I spent time out that way and could not believe the utter ham beasts I saw not just out at night spots, but at private parties where guys who were easily two or three points up on the scale were competing over walruses. Just sad to witness.

Couple that with the trend about guys actually pretending to be gay to make a pickup (yes, this really happens) and you've definitely got your work cut out for you in that hell hole. No thanks.

I don't waste my time on Tinder or other online shit. Too much work with BS quality. When I lived in the SF Bay Area, I would just take trips to either Davis, Santa Rose or Sacramento. Each about 60-80 miles. Friday and Sat nights in those towns are waaay better than anything in the Bay area. Also, Wednesday's Farmers Market in Santa Rosa is good. In Davis, you can set up at Taco Bell or Jack in the Box and wait until the bars and clubs start closing at 2am and pick off half drunk sorority girls when they come in to eat and order Uber. All the bars/clubs + fast food places are on the same street. If you want to increase your chances scoring, you can hit up the local campus (earlier in the day) and pipeline. It helps if you're somewhat intellectual (I'm polymath) so you don't come as some desperate internet forum loser looking for sex.

The Bay is the only place where I have gotten picked up by lesbian couples that are looking to spice things up. Not sure where else that happens. Also it has gotten me plenty of play in the past by being non judgmental and then these girls will throw their straight friends at me.

The general theme here is that the things most guys see as negatives about the Bay are actually positives.

It’s mostly about perspective.

Thing about the Bay is that it is niche central. I found myself doing pretty well with Indian girls in a specific suburb who were around a 6 in looks -- shit was like shooting fish in a barrel via Tinder. In the burbs (San Mateo, Palo Alto, etc), your online game needs to be on point. There are not many places to approach and few women out and about -- I regularly work at coffee shops in these areas and see maybe one cute girl every four hours.

Online is actually huge here. People are busy and night life can be cliquey/bad so Tinder can definitely be the way to go out here.

For daygame hit up the community colleges (or UC Berkeley). De Anza in Cupertino, West Valley, Foothill, Ohlone, etc -- girls are a lot more down to earth. There actually are plenty of cute girls in the Bay and great diversity as well. Back when I daygamed I loved being able to spit game at Ethiopian, Guatemalan, Pakistani, and Cameroonian girls all within the space of a couple minutes.

Your target demographic is completely different from mine. I'm not into unattractive, obese, middle-aged women (with five kids), transsexuals or other unhealthy types. I've found people who are unhealthy are nervous wreaks, anxiety prone autistics and sexual deviants who fuck anything that moves and apparently the worse the biofilm infection, the worse the distortion is to the sexual preferences for the opposite sex to a level that is like uncontrolled urges due to their own impending death... biofilms distort the development of normal behaviors by disrupting the elimination of hormones and other toxins during the development process and exaggerate the influence of viruses. All the data says gays/lesbians who are anxiety/mental disorder stricken people are sick as hell and their anxiety and mental disorders are all tips of the iceberg to how much underlying damage is being done to their body and brains, these people typically aren't rational and have few or no stable relationships in their life, or lack their of a community except for other "gays/lesbians" and other normals who they complain about how life is so tiring with...

All the whining brats and sick people aren't going to like being called out as sick and cure-able... It might take awhile for their bodies to return to normal, if ever, when they find themselves with sex change operations, etc. and other diseases from all their deviant behaviors but at least they won't wind up with all the cancers and brain disorders that they currently are doomed to get if they aren't cured.

The Bay Area I grew up in and loved is dead.

Worse, every time I've left and come back, I've felt it's gotten less welcoming to a quality man who doesn't want to deal with poor odds for over-valued, sick goods.
