I just want to make sure, you're saying that the employment numbers are all lies, the US is actually facing job scarcity, not full employment, and that there are millions of Americans who can't find jobs, is that it?

Yes, that's it exactly. The percentage of working age people who are actually employed is way down from 10 years ago. Many of those employed have part time jobs, or have a low paying job like Walmart when they used to have a good factory job.

We are nowhere near full employment. There are millions of Americans who can't find good jobs.

You must know many people like this. If your social class and family consist of 100% successful people, you must have noticed all the middle aged men working in Starbucks or in convenience stores. Look around. There are a lot of people struggling.

Look up the median family income, and try to figure out how you'd support a family with children on that.

I don't know how you missed it, but already for some time (since the crash of 2008 at the very least), the BLS employment numbers have been roundly criticized for their deceptive nature- the ways in which the reported statistics ignore crucial factors such as discouraged workers (i.e. people who lose their jobs in a certain field giving up on searching for a job in their specialized field), as well as the overall declining quality of the jobs being created in the US economy.

zerohedge Wrote:America has enjoyed an economic recovery since June of 2009, which must be one of the longest recoveries in history despite the absence of growth in median real family incomes, despite the growth in real retail sales, despite the falling labor force participation rate, despite the lack of high value-added, high productivity, high wage jobs.

Quote:Where are these reported jobs? They are where they always are in lowly paid domestic services. Health care and social assistance, about half of which is “ambulatory health care services,” provided 59,000 jobs. Leisure and hospitality provided 36,000 jobs of which 29,300 consist of waitresses and bartenders. Local government rose by 35,000. Manufacturing, once the backbone of the US economy, provided a measly 1,000 jobs.

Zerohedge, July 2017

Point being: if you break down the Bureau of Labor statistics concerning changes in the workforce, the general trend is the decline or stagnation in productive, value-creating jobs that were historically the backbone of the middle class, reflected in an equally stagnant purchasing power for the average american versus a generally rising cost of living.

I always like the classic Waiter/Bartender vs. Manufacturing jobs chart that zerohedge uses to characterize this shift in the US economy:

Goes to show: many of the safe, secure jobs of the past are stagnant and unlikely to recover in the long-term, as people shift to lower-quality jobs such as service that will allow their heavily-indebted asses to barely scrape by.

This is why Weambulance's points are so important: if you want to preserve the backbone of the American economy- the middle class, it's more important than ever to ensure that Americans have first-priority access to the increasingly declining pool of high quality jobs.

You went off half-cocked in your first rant without even bothering to understand what I was talking about, or stopping to think about whether what I was saying is true? You just assumed I was an idiot talking out his ass, I suppose, and that the big businesses must be telling the truth because their truth benefits you by giving you a guilt-free job.

You took a job an American should have. End of story. Just because you're not on welfare doesn't mean you're a net benefit to my people. You obviously only care about you and your people, which is natural. You don't give a shit about Americans, because you aren't one.

Quote:Why not only allow in people that will not be a burden?

You're not a burden because you turned an American into a burden; instead, you're a burden-by-proxy. So no, how about we don't do that. Especially since, as you clearly demonstrate, immigrants generally don't give a shit about Americans. Maybe their kids and probably their grandkids will, but first generation? Nope, they only care about their tribe, which is never "American".

How am I changing my story when I clearly stated that America should look out for its own first and should get rid of anyone leeching off of the state?

And I disagree completely that because I'm here it means an American couldn't find a job and therefore became a burden to the state, you seem to look at this as a zero sum game, that for an immigrant to win it means an American must lose. I disagree completely about that, but ok, we'll never see eye to eye on that.

And why are you going off on how *I* don't give a shit about Americans, and that *I* only care about my *people*, whoever they are, and all that nonsense, how do you know how I feel? I already said many times I respect and admire several aspects of American culture and I'm grateful for what America has given me, why would I NOT care about Americans and America?

It's fine, you simply don't like foreigners and that's why you don't want any here, that's a perfectly valid opinion to have and I have nothing against that, and I'm assuming in your opinion I should go back, but just stop using crappy economic theories to justify how you really feel. Like I said the economy is not a zero sum game.

It seems like the percentage of immigrants and Americans on welfare is the same, I'm curious to know why that is.

You say America should look out for its own, then immediately grant yourself an exemption to the consequences of that.

You imply I'm intolerant, "but there's nothing wrong with that", because I care about my own people more than the rest of the world and use actual metrics to back up why it is absolutely nonsensical to bring foreigners into this country even besides the cultural dilution aspect.

You completely ignore the fact that many companies have been in the news for years for pushing out American workers in favor of immigrants on visas, often making those Americans train their own goddamn replacements if they want severance, when you say "oh it's not a zero sum game".

Whatever dude. You're just going to keep hamstering away no matter what I say.

Edit - clarity.

If hypothetically speaking America lets in only immigrants that are job creating employers that would hire Americans 1st?

Is that still a big problem?

RE: The Donald Trump thread
You mean, is it a problem if an immigrant with big moneybags wants to come here and start a business and hire a bunch of Americans? Sounds like a win to me, as long as he's not planning on bringing dozens of extended family members along too. But how many immigrants are actually in that situation? One in a thousand? Less? I actually don't think there's much need to limit that sort of immigration because I just don't think there will be that many people trying to come here permanently who already made it big back home.

To clarify what I've said in the last couple pages, I'm not opposed to all immigration forever. I just think it needs to stop entirely (except for my spouse exception, which would not cover actual mail-order brides) for at least a few years--10, maybe--and when we re-implement it we need to scale it way, way down.

If we've got Wernher Von Braun, Albert Einstein, or Croatian Bill Gates knocking on the door, absolutely, let them in. If it's just another code monkey, golf course groomer, or strawberry picker, hell no. Americans can write code just fine, and schoolkids can pick the fricking strawberries and do the groundskeeping and caddying. Learn some work ethic and make some pocket money, the way kids used to. If strawberries can't be picked economically at minimum wage, well, the buggy whip makers went out of business too. Invent a robot that can do it or something like that, or use the land for something else. Adapt or die. This obsession with maintaining the corporate status quo--as if we're at the pinnacle of civilization and it's all downhill from here, so we need to preserve all business models with either subsidies or barriers and damn the human cost--is absolutely mad.

I think immigrants should be people moving here with the intention to stay and truly assimilate, not coming for this multi-year work visa crap. "Guest worker" programs are bullshit; the whole concept is ridiculous and nothing but a camel's nose in the tent for companies that want to drive down wages, reduce employee freedom, reap some kind of short term profit so a CEO can get a fat bonus, and/or avoid investing in new technology. If you're not coming here with the intention of staying permanently, all you get is a tourist visa. And we need to start tracking the damn visas, especially ones granted to pregnant women, and checking whether the visa holder actually left. We don't do that now, which itself is absolutely fucking insane. Immigration kabuki theater makes the TSA look like a deadly serious operation.

There are a lot of details to suss out, like the birthright citizenship thing, but like I said in my first post on this subject, I don't think any of this really matters. It's all academic. Unless the GOP finds the balls to rein in deficit spending and pull out the roots it grows from, we're going down, baby. Just a question of when.

The founder of Chobani Yogurt is a Muslim who set up shop in Idaho, then proceeded to advocate for Muslim refugees into lily white Idaho, preferring to import them and hire them over the locals, and calling Idahoans racists. The rapefugees have committed horrific crimes in usually low crime high trust Idaho including child rapes.

So I say no, this immigrant startng a business in Idaho was not worth it to Idaho.

http://www.cbsnews.com/news/chobani-foun...-refugees/

Quote:Hamdi Ulukaya emigrated from Turkey to the U.S. in 1994. Now he is the billionaire behind America’s bestselling Greek yogurt, Chobani. But the immigrant living the American dream has been harshly criticized for sharing a little of that dream with refugees by hiring them to work in his yogurt plants.

He came to the U.S. as a student with hardly any money and build his huge, profitable business that has become the source for his philanthropic efforts aimed at helping refugees. He has donated millions to the care of refugees in Europe and the Middle East in addition to helping them thrive in America by hiring them in his plants.

He provided transportation to the plant in New Berlin and translators on the floor. “The minute they get a job, that’s the minute they stop being a refugee … They are the most loyal, hard-working people right now in our plant here. We have 19 different nationalities, 16 different translators,” he tells Croft.

Note the bolded part...it's an admission he prefers Muslim employees over Idaho employees.

http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/...led-child/

Quote:Three boys from Iraq and Sudan who were invited into the country via refugee programs pled guilty to charges of sexually brutalizing a five-year-old American child in Twin Falls, Idaho, last year.
A seven-year-old Iraqi boy, plus 14-year-old and 10-year-old Sudanese boys, reportedly cornered the tiny victim in a laundry room at the Fawnbrook Apartments in Twin Falls, Idaho, on June 2. They stripped her naked, sexually assaulted her, urinated all over her body and in her mouth, and videotaped the attack, according to witnesses.

The attack sparked another national uproar among Americans — but only dismissive responses from managers in President Barack Obama’s administration and among the groups which support the federal programs that delivered the foreign boys to the girl’s apartment building.

Take care of those titties for me.

The damn camel's nose, you can never trust it.

Edit - so how to handle such a situation, if you wanted to grant the privilege of foreigners starting businesses here? You'd have to be super draconian. No voting, no lobbying, renounce your citizenship, etc. Fuck around and try to subvert our culture or politics, you get deported to the middle of the Pacific. And I don't mean on one of the islands.

That sort of thing is not sustainable long term, because one side or other of the political body would see a natural resource to exploit and lobby to give the influential immigrants privileges, which would be repaid with money of course. And women always vote for sob stories when their own children are fairly secure (or if they don't have any). 30-40 years down the road, we're right back where we started.

(07-08-2017 11:58 PM)MMX2010 Wrote:  Adam Gingrich just dropped a bombshell on Periscope. This bombshell weaves multiple moving parts together.

The first occurred in June 2016, one month after Candidate Trump won the Indiana Republican nomination, causing Ted Cruz to quit. (You remember that right?) Three Trump people (1) Paul Manafort, Candidate Trump's campaign manager at the time, (2) Donald Trump, Junior, and (3) Jared Kushner had a meeting with a Russian lawyer at Trump Tower. This meeting was meant to discuss the Maginsky sanctions, a long and complicated law signed by Barack Obama in 2008.

The second part happened in March 2017, and it was the Steele dossier. You remember that, too, I hope? It's the dossier that contained a whole bunch of non-verified accusations against President Trump, accusing him of meeting with Russian businessmen and diplomats. Many of the dossier's accusations were proven false, and it's the same thing published by That Failing Pile of Garbage (Buzzfeed) - who asserted that they couldn't verify the validity of any of the dossier's contents, but they published it anyway because a lot of public officials were discussing it, and they wanted to let the people decide whether it was true. IMPORTANT: The Steele dossier was commissioned by FUSION GPS, a pro-DNC lobbying group hired to do opposition research on the Trump campaign.

Chuck Grassley, Republican House member from Iowa, asked FUSION GPS to explain how they got their intelligence. (If it could be proven that John Podesta or Valerie Jarret paid them, the DNC would be totally fucked.) But FUSION GPS has refused to cooperate with Grassley's request, an ongoing stalemate.

The third part happened less than ten hours ago, where The Failing New York Times reported on this "previously unreported meeting" between the Trump people and "lawyers connected to the Kremlin" that "Donald Trump, Junior, totally lied about". "Holy fuck, it's literally the first confirmed meeting between Russia and Trump people!" This was a typical hit piece meant to resurrect the Trump-Russia narrative.

The fourth part happened a mere three hours after the third part: Sara Carter of Circa Media added that the meeting itself was orchestrated by FUSION GPS - (which also, by the way, helped provide "legalistic support" in the original case of the United States against the Russians, which ultimately resulted in the Maginsky sanctions).

In other words, this is the first smoking gun piece of evidence that the Trump-Russia narrative was orchestrated by the DNC. Donald Trump, Junior, fed the story to The Failing New York Times so that Sara Carter could point out the FUSION GPS connection.

Holy shit, holy shit, holy shit.

Sara Carter's article, via Circa News, is here.

Sara Carter's article Wrote:The president’s legal team said Saturday they believe the entire meeting may have been part of a larger election-year opposition effort aimed at creating the appearance of improper connections between Trump family members and Russia that also included a now-discredited intelligence dossier produced by a former British intelligence agent named Christopher Steele who worked for a U.S. political firm known as Fusion GPS.

“We have learned from both our own investigation and public reports that the participants in the meeting misrepresented who they were and who they worked for,” said Mark Corallo, a spokesman for President Trump’s legal team. “Specifically, we have learned that the person who sought the meeting is associated with Fusion GPS, a firm which according to public reports, was retained by Democratic operatives to develop opposition research on the President and which commissioned the phony Steele dossier. "

"These developments raise serious issues as to exactly who authorized and participated in any effort by Russian nationals to influence our election in any manner,” Corallo said.

What's particularly galling about this story is the historical facts behind it all.

Here you have a Muslim Turk, selling Greek yogurt. Turkey was once the Greek Byzantine Empire. The Islamic Turks conquered and slaughtered the Greeks. Then you've got them coming over as "immigrants," selling the yogurt of people they slaughtered while importing more of the invasion.

Not that I would ever own a pair of Reeboks anyway, but this seals the deal.

I would very much like to see what the low T virgin guy who designed this looks like.

That is doubly-embarrassing due to the inclusion of something that arrested development soy boy can relate to.

Not an old, forgotten fishing pole. Or pair of boots. Or a vintage automobile. No. A fucking action figure.

Compliments are oppression!

I don't even consider whether it's "appropriate" to compliment a girl, if she looks good and I feel like it I just do. I can't remember a girl ever responding negatively to a compliment I gave.

This corporate activism shit is getting really lame. Even if I didn't support President Trump, that message is so fucking gay I'm afraid just wearing Reeboks would suck my testosterone out through my feet.

I tweeted a reply at Reebok about that thing but I think I fucked it up and it's not clear what I'm responding to. Eh. Whatever.

Vox Day repeatedly congratulates himself for never looking at history nor immigration trends personally, not even when he's an American immigrant to Italy. He says it so often that I almost want to slap him, but what stops me is the repeated (almost 100% frequency, if you haven't noticed) tendency of RVF-members who are immigrants to take these immigration discussions personally.

Sad.

I consider all RVF-members to be far smarter than average, so when they take immigration discussions personally, you can bet that 100% of all immigrants will take these immigration discussions personally.

What a disaster.

RE: The Donald Trump thread
My grandfather suggested that Macron's wife seemed "uncomfortable" after he complimented her. I saw the video; she seems more shocked that someone like Trump would compliment her in the first place.

I realize this has been discussed before, but the hyperventilation about "this is inappropriate" is true for 90% of men. Issue is, Trump isn't in the 90%. He's in the 10%, and he can get away with doing things that other men can't. I swear, before this election, I didn't see socio-sexual ranking as nearly as much of an indicator of pretty much anything beyond how much you get laid. Trump's presidency has, in my judgement, shown me to be totally wrong.

Maybe this is stealing from Vox, but I think a lot of the opposition to Trump, at least from the fake news media, can be classified under gamma rage. "We didn't get what we want, so the world has to burn."

If you're not fucking her, someone else is.

The problem with the immigration debate is setup through the lens of identity politics. Many members, myself included, that are immigrants to the US will get caught up emotional reponses to the subjects at hand as we are primed from media saturation to see the immigration debate as indirect attack on us.

Since you bring up Vox Day, that was one of the major problems I have with his discussion about immigration, I took it personally as can envision his less enlighten readerships to place my ass on boat to save the country. Only when someone mention and my understanding of his view of immigration as historical trend I was able to see the discussion impersonally. Vox's views can be seen as high end pessimistic outcome of many trends we see today. Something we all should work to avoid.

I still froth at anger anytime someone like David French calls for death of white people.

This, 100%.

That's why I created my rule after reading Vox, "If you're not personally humiliating your opponent when discussing politics, you're not doing it right." Gammas never lose unless they feel humiliated.

It's also why Vox's book SJWs Always Lie is so crucial for all Trump supporters.

RE: The Donald Trump thread
That Reebok chart is exactly what's wrong with today's culture in a nutshell. SJWs are stuck in a pussified, PC-obsessed cult where even a small compliment about a woman is considered "offensive." I've heard feminists say merely approaching a woman and talking to her in public is evil. They're mentally ill.
