I'm gonna start fishin'. I only did it with my grandpa when I was younger, just for blue gill.

I think I'll start again this summer. Maybe get a kayak. Gonna make some money on my side business before spending on leisure, but I think fishing is my next endeavor...golf is getting more and more frustrating.

I wish I had more time and more money to travel to meet some of the posters on here. I have been hanging out with a RVF member the last few weekends and we've had a blast.

Yeah sharing stories and game secrets on here is nice and all but the brotherhood and friendship bonds you form in meeting the people behind the screen is the best part of this place, IMO.

Where you going to fish? What are you going to try to catch?

Good choice. I know plenty of places near my city (you know where) that we can find a lot. Pike, Bass, Gills, crappie, perch, muskie, catfish.

If you get a kayak make sure to get a fishing one with rod holders. I use my brothers regular kayak when I feel like fishing by myself and it's a skill to learn without one and took me a few hours to get it right.

Edit: Salmon run in a river in a closer spot to you in the fall.

Yeah I have some friends who fish a bit...one buddy who uses a normal kayak because that's what he has. He said the same thing about a fishing kayak.

If I get into it enough, I'm defintely hitting up the salmon crop around here...though aren't they nasty by the time they get up river?

I look forward to using fishing as a way of getting out and up north with friends.

Yeah. If you hit them when they run you will be on land. Just have some pliers it'll be fine. Just don't grab their mouth or gills. Get it on the tail and under it's belly.

There's good spots in Missouri I've been to for muskies and trout. Muskies :https://mostateparks.com/park/pomme-de-terre-state-park. Trout: https://www.google.com/search?q=bennett+...e&ie=UTF-8

Trout fishing was always a little to foofoo for me. Its like golf, where some guys are just out to show off their cool equipment.

From a guy who's fished off kayaks since he was four, put the rod holders ahead of your body, and space the lines so you don't tangle them in your paddle. You want to see your lines.

Aloha!

It looks like she's wearing those huge sunglasses that people with glaucoma or eye problems wear. Maybe macular degeneration. Someone with normal sight would of seen that cellar before she started looking at her phone.

RE: Forum "Lounge" - Everything goes!
A couple of months ago I posted here that I signed contract to buy my first apartment. Since then there's been a hold-up because I brought in a professional inspector on the advice of my lawyer. He found a few things in the building itself that made it very hard or impossible to insure and so I demanded it be fixed before I make the payment. The seller was initially refusing and only recently did he start negotiating about actually fixing the issues. I was almost ready to walk away.

Then, yesterday, my company announced that they're shutting down the base in my city and that, while I still have my job, I'll have to move.

I have NEVER been more thankful that I didn't "Just do it" and buy the apartment before it was fixed. I was planning to move away in about 3 years, so in the best case, the apartment would have only broken even then if I were to rent it out.

So many coworkers bought houses that they were planning to fix up over time, but which they overpaid for now. Shock and devastation all around, and I'm just sitting here thanking my lucky stars...

Huge wake-up call! I thought real-estate in a Tier 1 EU city would always be a safe investment, but that's only true if you can afford a few years of losses or if you can offset rent costs.

Real estate in many EE cities is good. Especially if you buy a cheap unpopular communist building apartment in a central location (for 40.000-60.000$), invest 5-10.000$ to make it look modern, then rent it out for AirBnB. In some good locations you can make 2.000$-4.000$/month of rental income. If you are not there, then you can hire companies which charge 25% for operating it.

Western Europe does not offer such ROI deals.

I have no doubt you're right, Zelcorpion. I just don't live EE and have no idea about the market, etc. Buying my first apartment is more about finding a place to live, while safeguarding myself by choosing one that will also make a profit when rented out furnished (possibly over AirBnB).

My job is likely to require me to move every 2-3 years and I can't always choose where.

^Turn off water. Empty pipes. Tighten seals or silver solder them or replace pipes entirely. Not hard since they're all utterly exposed from underneath. Test for new leaks. Place plaster board over inside of ceiling hole. Cut another plaster board to fit hole and use contact glue to fix it in place. Spackle the gaps around the edges. Sand flat. Prime. Paint. Show bitch wife. Smash your work in front of bitch wife, including pipes, pack your shit, empty the bank accounts, walk out and fuck the next 6 that glances in your direction. Divorce bitch wife by end of month.
