Gloves hurt your grip. A mans hands should have some callouses on them too. No serious lifter should use gloves.

If you can't use chalk then try this liquid chalk out. Very discrete, once it dries it only really comes off on knurling. I just put it on in the locker room and walk around the gym for a couple mins to dry it out, then ready to rumble.

1. Leather money clip:


Keep your back pocket light and all your stuff together. I used to carry too much extra cards, ids, coupons and stuff. I bought a fossil money clip similar to this one for around 35USD. Fits much better in my jeans and is comfortable to use.


2. Decent lifting shoes:


Wearing your every day air max kicks is making your lifts weak and unstable. I bought my reebok lifter´s on the reebok website, for about 60-70 USD. They make a huge difference in terms of PRs and posture.


3. a decent external battery:

Since I´m moving all day between classes, lunch place and around campus, I don´t have time to plug my cellphone to a wall for half an hour. I can just turn on my battery and get going. It costs 15-40 USD and it can charge you phone, tablet (my father has one that can kickstart your car).




4. decent pair of headphones:

i used to have a qc25 bose until i got mugged. i decided to buy jbl. they are not noise cancelling but sound pretty good and theyre wireless.

Well if you can get to $200, these were just released. They are considered the best sound-quality/noise-reduction to price ratio. Won't be shipping out until the end of the month, and as mine haven't arrived, I can't personally vouch yet. But based on my research, they are the ones to get.

To be honest, that is the least you can expect to pay for a set of this kind. Otherwise you are compromising on sound quality or noise reduction. Bose are over-priced, and while they have the best noise-reduction, their sound quality is not as good as Sennheiser.

These arrived yesterday. They are decent quality. Not as good as reviews portrayed. Noise-cancellng earphones will never match audio quality of normal ones. But they are certainly good enough for the price, and cancel noise well.

Money clip, since I detest bulky wallets. This one holds cash and cards. 3-10$.



Card beer opener. Has a novelty factor, but proved handy many times. Fits in the money clip. 10$.


And I second the external battery recommendation. Great thing to have when you're outdoors, but still need your phone. Just steer clear of the cheap ebay shit that has false mAh count. 30$.

I haven't seen that one, but I have been using a Duckbill clip for about 5 years and it's still tight as the day I got it, even after having been stuffed with way too many cards at one point or another.

Agree that you get what you pay for with headphones. Hard to find a good pair for sub $100. But if you can get to $250+ you can pick up some good ones. Once you hear that full sexy sound you will never be able to go back to those shitty ear plugs.

That is the SlimClip. They used to advertise them on TV about 8-10 years ago. I received one for Christmas around the same time frame and I've had it ever since. It easily holds my 7 cards and it retains its ability to hold bills. It doesn't get stretched and fail to bounce back after holding a large wad, lets say a stack of $1's for the strip club. I recommend to everyone.
