Pretty surprising. This seems to be a complete opposite from what one tends to see scouring comments sections to judge reactions.

I wouldn't put much faith in a poll conducted by a website with any political slant. If Vox and Salon put up a poll on their sites, the results would likely be opposite.

During the primaries, Drudge's internet polls of who won the elections turned out to be by far the most accurate. The results of some primaries match the results of the Drudge polls perfectly.

The Drudge poll shows this is one of the most disapproved actions of Trump's presidency, from his base, so far. Trump would be wise to pay attention.

For a supposed dictator, Ive always thought of Assad as a pretty normal dude. Considering his background as an ophthalmologist from London adds to this.

If I was him I would be scared shitless. No matter how fortified his castle is, he is one of the most hated men in the world currently.
100 types of Muslims want him dead, neo-cons want him dead, liberals want him dead, most world leaders want him dead. Now even Trumps Christian base are falling for the whole chemical attack thing and want him dead ( this is my observation from social media).

His few allies might turn on him for the right price. If shit goes down I would hope he and his family would chose the path of Hitler's final hours rather than Gadaffi's.

It's looking that way, yet that doesn't jive with what Cernovich is saying about his military sources telling him we're gearing up for more. If we're getting ready for war, then why the symbolic strike up front? Why pull that punch if we're about to go in full commitment?

Hopefully that disparity in logic means we're not actually about to wage all-out war and Cernovich's sources are mistaken.

What I know...

Even the most hardcore liberals I know are praising Trump for the bombing. This is no fluke.

What I think...

Some of you guys are drawing conclusions way too early regarding the outcome. If Trump wanted WW3, why would it have been a shitty airbase. Putin had to say that this was "escalation" for saving face, not because he's going to do anything. If that were the case, he would have already done something.

Let's not be propagators of pushing the fake news of WW3. There are variables that many of us are not considering.

A few months ago Cernovich spent a whole day wound up about an imminent WW3. (I don't remember the date.) He obviously has good sources for some things, but I'm not confident on this. Time will tell.

If it turns out to be wrong, it doesn't mean Cernovich is wrong, it just means he's getting bad intel. It's very possible, even likely, that troops have been told to get their gear in order and are moving around to get them in position in case this all turns to shit. Perhaps these military guys perceive this mobilization as evidence that they're about to go into Syria.

But unless his military sources are in the higher echelons, the info is suspect. It's not as if the military tells the troops, "Ok guys, get your stuff together. We're invading Syria on Tuesday." In this age of smartphones, there's no way an attack would ever stay a secret if the troops knew.

Reminds me of the German raid on Bari in Italy in WWII. They hit an American ship that was secretly carrying mustard gas (at the time they thought Italian campaign would turn to chemical warfare). The gas was released and blinded and killed some sailors and civilians.

Its effects if the same kind of bomb is made and used are on nuke map. Scary. If I was Putin I'd keep that kind of weapon available in case things get too hot. Problem being is whether it can be delivered to target by missile or by a bomber. Its a huge bomb.

The Tsar bomb was a propaganda operation.

It achieves nothing that multiple smaller warheads would not, except to make it easier to intercept a single warhead rather than four or five of lesser magnitude.
