I love Ben Shapiro's debating style. I find the style of political commentator's that lots of guys on the forum worship (Milo, Tucker Carlson) pretty obnoxious, and prefer Shapiro.

Not to get all nerdy with talk of economics, but here goes:

1. Money is just a number. The number varies in size, the more you have, the more options or freedom you can buy.
2. One of the ways I exercise control over my money is to buy things that bring a high degree of satisfaction relative to the cost spent to acquire the goods.
3. A can of black olives is a delicious snack for only a $1.
4. Dollars were converted into olives. Olives get consumed and get converted into energy and taste bud happiness.
5. My increase of happiness for only $1 makes me motivated to repeat the cycle of earning more money.
6. Increased earnings are directly correlated how many olives I've consumed.
7. Additional earnings can be used to purchase non-olive commodities. Or they can be used to purchase additional olives to accelerate the process.

That is the Olive Cycle.

Here I was thinking I was the only one doing that. In addition to licking the plates, I like to really rinse out the blender for smoothies so as not to waste protein powder or blended fruit. I think the Scottish in me might just be a cheap bastard that resents waste.

Short story:

The Scots are famous for being cheap. They even have a tour service in the highlands where you can see this massive hair cow (or hair coo as they call it). Not only do you have to pay to take a bus ride to reach this cow, they actually force you to pay to feed THEIR COW. That's a new kind of cheap when you find ways to get tourists to feed your farm animals.

I love em on salads and tacos and such, but I've just never thought of eating a can of black olives by itself. It just sounds like eating an onion by itself or something. I would probably go for some green olives before black ones though. OK, you got me thinking about it now, maybe i'll give it a try sometime.
