^ I'm in Manila now (since November), and yes something has definitely dramatically changed here. This isn't a whining post, just telling it like it is - if you aren't willing to put in game, or aren't high in the looks department, you aren't getting much.

Not sure if forums like RVF (or blog posts like this) are to blame, or it's just the natural progression of a 3rd world developing country. And I don't sense any 'American feminism' here at the moment, so I wouldn't rush to blame that.

It's just that putting your average white face on Tinder or Cupid doesn't really work too well anymore. Unless you're willing to fuck girls that nobody else is willing to fuck, that is.

You'll still get interest, replies and so on, and yeah the occasional lay too, but to close the deal plenty and often with girls at least remotely worth spending a night with -- bring good looks or bring game, or strike out. Bringing 'being a foreigner' has become close to ineffective.

Once you're willing to put in the effort girls may still end up being easier than in other countries. But it's not "stupid easy" to get laid here anymore, there's no denying that.

I've been here for going on four years now and that becomes more true every year. I'm not saying I agree with the cause but the effect is real. (Not just me but my non-forum friends agree)

A Night out in Manila – Report with Pics

I originally had no interest in visiting anywhere in the Philippines other than Boracay (datasheet here). However, I was in Boracay for too long and got bored of it so I cut my trip short and decided to meet my boy Dave in Manila.

Got in Saturday afternoon and checked into my 5 star hotel (treated myself, it was awesome). Decent price though I’m not sure it was really a game-changer in terms of getting girls. They didn’t seem keener to fuck me when I told them where I was staying. It was more just icing on the cake.

First, Dave and I went to the gym and got food. I was really tired as I had only slept 4 or 5 hours tops the night before but couldn’t fall asleep for a quick power nap. Oh well, I rally and we head out to Valkyrie, which by all accounts seems to be the best, or at least best-known, club in Manila. Dave and I were able to get in for free on a guestlist, which was dope (cover is usually 1000 peso or 20USD).

I have to say the club itself was very nice. Good music (head bobbing the whole time), lighting, décor, the works. However, it was a bit “scene” that night (not sure if that’s every night) and not good for pickup. That is, almost everyone seemed to be on a table or with a group.

Also, for a club of Valkyrie’s caliber, I expected there to be way hotter girls. There were definitely hot girls, but the average was quite low – Dave said there were a lot of fatties and I agree. Would say the average girl was a 4 or 5.

There were a few Westerners here and there, girls and guys, with the girls being ugly or just ok. There were a decent amount of Koreans maybe ~5-10% of the people, girls were at best Korean 8s but mostly ok.

I made a few approaches here and there but nothing really worth mentioning except maybe one set. I approached a Korean coming out of the bathroom. She was a 6 at best but she was young (1997) and seemed keen. However, she was with a big group and I kept getting cockblocked by her friends.

Dave went home and I asked some dude for a piece of gum. I originally was thinking this dude was the PUA Mark Manson or Entropy4 on here because he looked exactly the same. Anyway, guy’s a party animal and we were just pounding drinks (was planning on having a “chill night”…)

I approached a few girls and apparently got the number of at least one who texted me the next day (to go out again – yea right, so hungover). Eventually I approached some short Filipina like 5’1” or 155cm. She wasn’t bad, a 6. Cute face but tiny. I tried to pull her a few times and she kept saying “later.” I forgot what I said but at one point I basically give her an ultimatum and we left together around 6am or so (it was bright out at that point, hate that feeling).

All the while, I was lowkey texting the Korean girl, who at that point had left Valkyrie and was eating with her friends. I told her to meet me in front of my hotel.

I took the Filipina back and banged her. I think she was a hooker because she had a couple of trashy-looking tattoos, fucked ok, and was “from Boracay” (lot of girls there seemed to be hookers). She wanted to sleep over but I didn’t really want that because I don’t trust 3rd world girls (or most girls in general) because I think they will jack my shit.

The Korean girl tells me she’s in the lobby so I say some bullshit to the Filipina like “my sister is here and wants to talk to me” and tell her to go down with me but pretend she doesn’t know me. She sees through the bullshit and is sad and asks for taxi money to go home. I give her whatever change I have (320 peso or a little less than 7 USD). Not sure if that was p4p but I’ll chalk it up as a lay.

Anyway, the Korean girl is luckily not really looking at the elevator area and is sitting charging her phone. I say hi and we go up and bang at like 7:30 or 8am. Was absolutely wiped the next day.

A Same Day Lay Gone Wrong + First Daygame Bang? (Pics)

So Dave and I decided to do some daygame today.

Got a couple numbers and Instagrams but I was really just going for the same day lay aka meet a girl and bring her to my place right then and there.

One of the girls was an actual model flying to Milan in a couple of days with like 40,000 Instagram followers. So I’m saying she was an actual model, not some dumb ho who saves up for a Groupon to get pics taken of her then upload them to Instagram. Not gonna lie; your boy was working up a slight sweat but managed to keep a poker face for this modela .

But the weirdest approach was this girl who, from far away, looked hot. I walked up and she was like a 5 wearing plain clothes (for some reason Dave and I thought she was wearing a hot dress).

I thought it was going well so I said let’s go back and watch Korean shows (we were talking about it) and all of a sudden, she says ok but give me money.

What the fuck? This was really surprising because she looked totally normal, dressed in a t-shirt and some normal pants (again, not hot either – I just wanted the SDL). Also, it wasn’t like I was at a hooker bar, I was just in the outdoor area of a really nice mall (Greenbelt). Apparently, her and her friend get “clients” there sometimes? Like she is a student and said she goes once a week to this area to get customers. I don’t really know how the “transaction” happens as I doubt that many people would go up to some random girl unless they were in on PUA. Thoughts??

Edit: Hahaha so I’ve been told there’s a famous hooker place right in that area called Café Havana. Really surprising because it’s just the plaza area of a really nice mall.

I knew I was not losing my mind when I was getting poor results and thought it wasnt that great. So I was right to have chosen to leave and tour elsewhere.

I am one to look to to ask how it is. I spent a few years. The typical day was chating with lots of chicks every morning and ensuring a fair number were lined up for each day, just in case. What happens? Most insist on meeting at a certain mall far from my condo, most common being MOA just because they are living too far away. What am I gonna do all the way at MOA? Talk about the same "im happy im in the Philippines" or "its snowing now at home", and then go back alone to the condo? I end up bailing out, sometimes from all of them. Often they pick MOA when my mall although less popular, could be a tad bit closer to them than MOA is. Yes game will get you it, but so will it anywhere else like Dallas, Tokyo or Milan. Since I came expecting way easier due to low game, I got stuck many days with nothing. I averaged 1 new bang every aprox. 5 1/2 days I was active.

I think if you are 10 minutes away, or less, from girls, you stand a good chance. But you cant be in 2 districts at once, but often different prospects are spread around the metro and Manila is huge people so far apart so many prospects seem to wither away. And it seems if they are not really close, they dont bother to come as they are not that inclined. I haven't, but have always been curious. Based on the risk factor I would imagine Gensan would be better than Ozamiz though both are much more risky than Manila, in my opinion. You will certainly stick out in those cities, especially Ozamiz. I came close to meeting a girl in Ozamiz, but after a lot of research I decided it wasn't worth the risk.

Both were the same regarding conservativeness and my 'caldera statement' couldnt have been truer. Finding a girl that wont treat your hotel like a volcano summit is not an easy task in these 2 cities.

Again this is why the country is far from perfect in terms of ease. The higher exotic status you get as you move away from Manila, the more conservative the women get. The closer you get to the most liberated parts, less interested they seem to be.

In line with what the others discussed, noone said about 'not getting laid', it is Asia afterall. But not exactly swimming in pussy and referring to the fact that it is not "stupid easy" as Malo put it.

Multinational retail chains generally take mastercard and visa, but you'll be paying inflated prices. Any place that takes plastic will cost a lot more than a local one. The internet is slow enough that it doesn't really matter which you take, it just depends for texting with girls.

LTE is better but it probably won't make a major difference. The mobile internet here isn't really good enough for general use anyway and you'll need wifi to browse properly but for gps, booking an uber, scrolling through facebook I don't think having 4g or LTE will make much difference.

If you really are planning on only using mobile data though or anticipate using it a lot when you're out, I'd go for LTE!

Go for Globe.

In terms of the service they provide and value for money, Smart is probably a little better. However it costs a premium to call or text people on the network that you're not on and most people in Manila use Globe so it makes much more sense to get Globe. If you get Smart, you'll have to pay extra to call and text people on Globe and the people on Globe probably only have minutes to globe, not spare load, so won't be able to call you.

In some places outside of Manila, Smart is more popular so if you're not staying in Manila, it's not necessary to choose Globe.

Yup that's the best idea. Even in places that do accept credit card, it's a long process where they have to type in lots of things to the till, print and sign lots of receipts then type some more things into the till and lots of cashiers don't really know how to do it with a foreign card.

You do not need a VPN for Netflix. In fact, Netflix seems to not work with my VPN, so I don't use a VPN at all and Netflix is fine.

4G is fine, but if the price isn't much different I would get the 4G LTE.

Get a prepaid SIM at 7/11 or at many Globe stands at the malls, buy a top-up card, and then activate the internet deal of 50P for 5 days for 350MB and unlimited text, plus free Viber (or another messaging app). Reactivate every 5 days. Check their website for all the details.

You can also get a Globe SIM at the airport but they'll force you to buy a very large amount of credit there, which you may end up not using for a short stay.

Definitely use cash (i.e. bring USD). The exchange rate your card company will use plus the % commission on foreign currency will cost you. Instead, bring USD and change them at a reputable exchange like Sanry's or Czarina (they are everywhere, check Google).

Same here. Coming from Bangkok (which has legitimately gotten more competitive) Manila was a poosy paradise and tinder was a nonstop gold mine. Amen to that. I think it was the only place in Manila it's hard to get laid. Which is funny because when I went I struck out left and right but had multiple girls I talked to on tinder who were there and couldn't find them but banged over the next few days.

For anyone saying how hard the Philippines is, you are doing something wrong. If you complain about the easiest place in the world then it's time to either improve what you're doing or throw in the towel. Just because you're white in the Philippines doesn't mean you don't need to make a shred of effort. You should be putting in full effort to make sure you get the hottest possible. If girls won't come to your location then go to the best location. If someone is fishing and not catching anything they are better off rowing their boat to a good spot than complaining that there's no fish there.

OK guys, I did get a table at Valkerie and did go with a crew, you guys got me on that one. I also showed up to dates very well dressed (some might even say overdressed), and stayed at a nice 1br on one of the top floors of the Gramercy so i'm sure all that stuff helped, but honestly that stuff is not that hard to change. Just wear a nice fitted sportcoat over your t-shirt, fitted pants and comfortable dress shoes your good to go. Don't associate yourself with the slobs and don't be one.

There was another club which I will definetely not mention here that truly was hot ass girls throwing themselves at me. I would go up to a group and they would all fight over me. I saw some guys not doing well in said club because they were total wallflowers and wouldn't approach at all. Hell, even in the phillipines you have to approach If you're going on in the Phillipines and not getting anything its not becuase you're "asian" or "short" its because you aren't approaching.
