It's a Roo doing things Roo's do.

The last thing I want to do is shoot an animal that I'm not eating if I can easily scare it off.

His dog is also in the mix, I couldn't live with myself if I shot my dog by accident.

So he did the next best and most hilarious thing ever, he punched a Roo square in the fucking jaw !

That guy has gone down as a living legend now.

Dude kangaroos use these headlocks on other kangaroos too. Looks like they don't pull guard in kangaroo jiujitsu though

Couldn't shoot because the dog and roo were hunched up together.

Guy had balls to go in like that. Roos usually fight with their back legs, ripping out your entrails is a risk.

This reminds me of the age old question: what is the biggest animal I can take on in a fight.

I reckon I can beat a decent sized milk cow, the kind without horns. They can only attack you with their head, but i think I'm fast enough to dodge it, so I can climb on his back and choke him out.

They're in Australia. Guns are hard to legally own, and you wouldn't be able to ride around with one even if you did own one, I'm pretty sure.

Most likely the bullets would have bounced off. Kangaroos have a very, very tough layer of bone over the ribcage and forehead; it's an evolutionary adaptation that allows them to take some of those big kicks they do to each other. Some elements of the bone have been adapted into the body armour that the Australian army uses, to better protect them from incoming shells.

I remember seeing some videos where kangaroos were grappling. Seem to have some instinctive moves, this one chokes the other one out.
