Humans have a brain that is wired to fall in love. Which is why I only half agree with Travesty's prediction for the future. Its all fine to raise kids sans emotional attachment to a partner- this happens in most traditional marriages too- but having an open relationship keeps the door open for love to enter into the mix. Once that happens, all bets are off.

Many men can handle the love and affection of multiple women, but women can not. The are in love with the idea of being adored by many men, but will still pick the best one to be in love with.

I have enjoyed being in love with beautiful women immensely, but after the first time I found out I was being cheated on, the illusion of love came crashing down. I was young so I recovered- we all do, eventually- but I was much more careful the second time.

With mate selection it is trickier. I know insanely beautiful women who have disasters for parents. Their beauty scream "good genetics" but there is more to it than that. Good genetics takes getting to know their families and asking the right questions. For this to happen a woman has to have to be a baseline '7' to even get me in the door to meet the fam.

Ok if your problem with your mom is that big you need to see a therapist and get it worked out. That is a much bigger than the issue I have with my mom which honestly therapy wouldn't hurt me either to make sure my ducks are in a line.

On the second part, what I have noticed over time is from good girls is that as an all out player you either need to catch one that is a virgin with little to no experience so she doesn't understand who she is dealing with...

Or she has had a boyfriend or two and probably has had sex and been around the block a little bit and she knows from experience what a player looks and acts like and she knows not to mess with one to get her heart broken and is smart.

I think it's great to meet the parents of any girl I'm seeing for any length of time. You can learn a lot about her suitability for a longer relationship.

You can't really take a girl's word for what her parents are actually like, anyway. I think a girl who claims to have had a bad childhood but is still on good terms with her parents and they don't seem overtly fucked-up in person is actually a better prospect than a girl who claims to have had a perfectly happy childhood but then moved 2000 miles from her folks and only talks to them once every two months.

It's the ones that claim to have had lives that are way too perfect to be true you gotta watch out for.

This probably will get a lot of backlash, but if she truly banged more than 20 and less than 30, at 32yo...it is not that bad. It's one and a half guys for every sexual active year of her life. Nah thats a lot of dicks for a girl in my opinion. That means she has spent most of her adult life in-and-out of casual relationships at best. Compare that to a somewhat typical and more loyal and conservative young female who maybe has had a few multi-year longer term relationships realistically only racking up a single digit notch count. Thats a lot of dicks, agreed, just I do not consider an outright slut. I am painting the picture black, but I am trying to be realistic, and what I see with many girls who only had a couple multi-year longer relationships is that sooner or later they will want to catch up on those "lost years". We are not in our grandfathers era... People change, nothing is linear in life, and a guy might also sell the soul to the devil, only to find out later...

I would be very honest about your feelings with her, but be strategic about this. I would also strategically open the relationship up. If she is actually loyal to you, she will not slut it up. Amazing discussion guys! I appreciate all the well-thought out posts. I'm so happy that I decided to join and post, some of you really get the player life in a way most people I know don't (I know maybe 4 others in my real life that are like me). I feel like I can talk to you guys like I talk to my diary.

So what I'm getting from this so far is:

• Visit my therapist (hadn't seen him in a year due to career changes)
• Tone down the overtness of my game a bit because it's scaring away wholesome good girls (I do swagger pretty hard: my mouth is always open, I automatically look at girls, and my clothing is really well put together every single day)
• Keep dating this girl until it fizzles out (or maximum of 6 months), and gain the learnings from it
  

I've been seeing her for a month now. I do have very strong feelings for her, but as you can see from my posts, I'm approaching it more like an illness to be treated, than trying to rationalize her behavior. My game may be handicapped by some mommy issues, but I'm no fool.

My goal is to date her for a maximum of 6 months. I know I know, not super player of me to treat her well and really date her. But I have a feeling that I've got something to learn from this woman, otherwise this situation wouldn't keep occurring.

So I can use this relationship to iron out some of my weaknesses keeping me from getting a good girl, I can practice being in a relationship again, and it'll also keep me from distracting myself with chasing pussy, in a period of my life where I really need to focus on my career.

If she's as smart as I think she is, she will come away from this in a better place than she started.
