I wouldnt call them racist. Hell I dont touch black, Indian or chinese girls myself. Go to old Port and the better clubs at St Laurent (not Cafe campus) and things will he different. The creme de la creme of Montreal is at old Port. Crescent is a shithole for tourists which is why you have a skewed perception of the gaming culture in Montreal.

There is only one club at Crescent that is worth giving a shot. The problem is that it's hard to get into this club after 11 PM because it's full by then. That's your main cue about the quality of that place or any other places in general. They do not allow hordes of drunk and thirsty men to enter after a certain time in order to maintain a good ratio. The trick is get there early and stay.

Most of the good clubs and bars at the Plateau and Old Port have this same policy. Places like Cafe Campus allow guys to enter even at 2 AM. I don't care which city you are in, such a door policy will surely lead to a cock fest. If you are in a club that maintains a good ratio then all you have to do is stay sober for as long as possible and then start the gaming process. When there are enough women they start drinking and getting lose and BOOM! or rather BANG! It's not rocket science.

There are other hipster places that automatically no not attract tourists because of the environment that they create. One of those is Kafein Bar in Downtown. Here, you won't see that certain "group" getting with the girls. However, I found this place hard to navigate because I am not a bar person.

You guys have hung out hip-hop music venues at Crescent and arrived at conclusions about the entire city.That is akin to going to an AA meeting and coming to the conclusion that everyone in that city is a drunk. Just go to McKibbins or the Irish pub at Bishop and the demographics are completely different.

Aim for places that play electronic music. Heck, go for rock music if that is something you like. You mostly find white folks, Quebecois and Europeans at these places. I got my frist threesome in this city at an electro music venue. All the good bars and clubs in Montreal play electronic music. not the shit that you hear at Crescent. Go to Stereo nighlclub which is an after hours club, it starts at 3 AM! That's the real Montreal for you.

You asked about the winters here. IMO they are as good as the summers because the girls drink more, they stay at one place and the city is devoid of tourists which leads to two things - fewer thirsty men and women dropping their guards.

Casa-nostra, I do not know of much places at Old Port that do NOT play electrconic music. That is what I like and therefore, that is what I go for. But there is Tokyo at St. Laurent that plays hip hop and caters to a younger crowd. You wont find that same "group" of people that you find at Crescent. If you like French music then you can go to Rockette also at St Laurent. The places around Pinq Taco are mostly about electronic music.

St Crescent is a joke.

In all honesty all of the main DT Montreal sucks.

The good spots are the surroundings areas like Old Port, Plateau, St Laurent, Mile End, Mount Royal.

There are others that has more Francophone girls but I forget the street. It is close to the subway line east ward and runs North South.

EDIT:

I also don't get the idea of bar hopping. Any place that is good will be packed by 12am in most places so where you going to hop to? Unless a venue is complete shit and dead will I bounce. All you need is one broad. Sometimes when the venue is a bit quiet you can zero in on a target much better.

If you like to start you night late then choose venues that you know don't fill up that early and beat that rush. In those cases then hitting one or two spots prior to warm up can be good.
