I have a deep-seeded hatred of cyclists. I can't fucking stand them. They are the biggest nuisance on the road. I'd prefer to sit in traffic behind an Asian grandma driving 30 MPH under the speed limit rather than deal with a horde of cyclists riding together while wearing their faggolicious skin tight suits. Fuck them.

There are ways to fight against this nuisance, however. There was one instance where this fat fuck whose cellulite was pudging out his skin suit decided to ride directly in the center of my lane. These were wide lanes, and there was plenty of room for him to scoot to the right and get the fuck out of my way as several cars approached from the opposite direction. But lo and behold, this pudgy cocksucker stayed dead center. Then he had the gall to shoot me the bird when I tapped my horn--didn't hold it down, merely tapped it to let him know I wanted to get around him.

Eventually I did make it around him, and about half a mile up the road the light turned red (of course). This fat piece of shit cost me a green light. A line of cars formed at the light, leaving a sliver of road to the right of them in between the street and the curb. Fat ass started cycling by to the right of them, dripping sweat from peddling down the flat road. As he neared me, I waited. He gained some steam. Just as he got close, I yanked my Jeep to the right and hopped up on the curb, blocking his little pathway. Fatty was furious. He had to hop off his little bike, yelled something at me as I held my victorious middle finger salute high in the air and grinned. It made missing the red light worth it.

Whenever cyclists use pedestrian crosswalks, peddling as slow as humanly possible when they see myself and a line of cars behind me trying to make a right turn, I cut them off when there is no risk of running one of these faggots over. And I go slow as shit, turning at a snail's pace, making them stop in the middle of the intersection. It brings me a bit of joy.

At this moment, I have several pallets to tear apart out back, filled with rusty nails. Perhaps I should salvage them and start peppering bike lanes with them...

I would say the system actually works there, but as soon as I come home, the bicyclists drive me nuts.

If you are going to do bikes right, the Netherlands does it pretty well from my experience as well. In Amsterdam, they can get a bit aggressive with their stupid bell horn though.

I despise road cyclists in the US.

In urban areas, they blow through stop signs and shouldn't even be on the road unless they have a dedicated lane to themselves. It should be illegal to bike in urban and suburban traffic unless we are talking super highly packed streets with low speed limits below 15-20 mph. I've seen multiple bikers get hit for being stupid and not stopping at interactions/crosspaths more than anything else. They think they are on a dedicated path at some park and the world resolves around them.

In the country: Despite not many cars on the car, it can be very dangerous to pass a biker who won't move to the right or park to the side due to things like small blind hills. I ended up stuck on a country road one time behind a 2-set Lance Armstrong faggot wannabe biker group because they refused to pull over enough so I could pass safely. These dipshits knew I was right behind them and would not even bike to the very right; they just hanged out right in the middle.

Due to the blind hills, their slowness, and my weak ass car, I couldn't safely pass them for around 5-10 minutes and just had to trial them at 10-15 mph. Bunch of faggots.

For you shitty bikers: The court of law might be on your side but the laws of physics are on my side. Don't be retarded.

I used to ride in a local Critical Mass, oblivious to what it was about, because I had a few friends on a bike team. Once I saw a few bits of outright assholery, I decided that I didn't like those people.

I also got tired of getting passed by a trucks a few inches away from my elbow going 50mph faster than me.

Now, a motorcycle, with more raw acceleration than almost every car on the road, able to get sub 4 second 0-60 times, with better brakes, good gear, and a piece of pussy on the back, that's way cooler.

Drivers are so bad I cant count the number of times I have had a driver make eye contact with me immediately before attempting to plow into me. However the rules of the road are this: Might is Right. Steel cages trump skin, flesh and bones and that corny, aerodynamic helmet is not gonna save you from getting smeared by a giant truck or SUV.
I pretend I am invisible and thus assume every single driver cannot see me and ride accordingly. I definitely don't ride as a commute anymore, just way too dangerous. People are way too distracted driving and most people-cyclists included-have shitty reflexes, hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness. I will not trust my life to the poor driving of distracted, angry, dangerous drivers. Drivers who lose their shit over cyclists and cyclists who drive like they own the road are both assholes.

I did a bit of "road" cycling for a couple days and came to the conclusion that it's a pretty stupid activity, at least if you're out in the open road sharing the streets with cars and trucks. It's far more dangerous then it looks. You're literally hoping other human beings riding around in large 4+ ton metal and fiberglass vehicles won't hit you accidentally(or intentionally) while you wisp around them wearing only a sliver of protection, a silly foam and fiberglass helmet. It doesn't help that many people are irritated by cyclists while driving on the road. Basically a mosquito with wheels for wings. Ride in parks with good roads and no cars. Problem solved.

There are so many stories of cyclists being seriously injured or permanently disabled by inattentive drivers that I try not to ride on the road anymore. Those converted rail line pathway parks are great for cycling and cyclists should take advantage of them as much as possible.

In the past couple years, I have had four near collisions with bicyclists. Two of which would likely have been fatal for the guy on the bike. All near misses were due to the guy on the bike blowing through a light, a yield sign, or a stop sign.

All were prevented from me slamming on the brakes or taking evasive action.


So far though, I have yet to experience the hell of one of those Critical Mass bike protests.

When I rode my bike to and from class and my part time job, I was 100% in tune with my surroundings. I assumed cars didn't see me and worked around dangerous intersections by taking less travelled side streets. I also never biked with head phones on. How in the hell are you going to hear cars coming at you with some inane pop music blaring?

In case these guys forgot, here is the food chain of the road:

Pedestrian > mobility scooter > cyclist > Moped/ Motocycle > Car > Truck /bus > Tank

If I remember correctly, you're based in London these days, right? In London (and in the UK generally, but particularly London) cyclists are to motorists how women are to men. Cyclists are coddled and allowed to do pretty much whatever they like whereas motorists are harassed and blamed for all the evils of the world.

Loads of main roads and major intersections in London are currently being modified to make more room for cyclists. These changes are being done at the expense of motorists. For example on Victoria Embankment and Upper and Lower Thames Street, which is the main east-west route through the centre of London, one of the eastbound lanes has been removed, leaving only one lane for vehicles eastbound. Now if a taxi stops to pick up a wheelchair user the entire eastbound traffic flow is halted for several minutes. I've no idea what happens if someone breaks down. There is a traffic jam along there 24/7 now. Similarly, junctions have been or are being modified to remove free flow (roundabouts and gyratory systems) and replace them with complicated junctions controlled by huge numbers of traffic lights. The effect of that is that traffic is halted at the lights for ages and so there are huge traffic jams. This is especially noticeable at (what used to be) less busy times, which is when I usually drive. Previously you could just flow round a roundabout or one-way system; now you have to wait for the traffic lights. Given that there are now traffic lights on a huge number of junctions, even those where the side road is not at all busy, these delays quickly add up to a huge amount of time.

If you walk around central London on a weekday, most of the vehicles you see are buses, vans, lorries, taxis or minicabs. In other words, these drivers are there because it's their job, not because they felt like a jolly jaunt round central London in their car or because they couldn't be bothered to walk half a mile. All these road changes are just fucking over people trying to do work and make a living, or trying to run a business.

I don't have anything against cyclists per se, but the preferential treatment and all the evangelism for cycling really gets on my nerves. They keep telling us that cycling has huge health benefits. But they way I look at it the upside is not at all obvious whereas the downside is very obvious. On a bike you are in an inherently precarious position. It's very easy for a driver to miss you and any sort of collision with a motor vehicle is likely to do damage. Even without any other vehicles you can easily come a cropper due to an uneven road surface or something slippery on the road. So I don't consider it a good risk/reward tradeoff. The fact that the UK won several cycling gold medals at the last two olympics is manna from heaven for the cycling evangelists. Loads of idiots are riding around thinking they're on an olympic velodrome rather than on a public highway.

I have a feeling that the pushing of cycling is just another way to reduce the standard of living of the average person on the street. When I was a teenager everyone looked forward to getting their driving licence and getting a car. Now everyone is told cars are bad (they cause climate change) and so you should have a bike instead. Fuck that.

I have strong feelings about this topic.

My belief is that if cyclists are using the same roads as cars, then these homosexuals should be required to carry a liability policy, and should require some type of state licensing that requires a test.

In 2010 I was driving a brand new Chevy Tahoe Hybrid. It had quite a few bugs and spent more time at the dealer than on the road.

One of the days I was able to drive it, I was safely driving in Honolulu in a high traffic area at the bottom of a mountain. A cyclist who was gay was coming down the mountain road really fast. The intersection is t shaped and I was on the flat part. This queer ran right through the stop sign and into the rear drivers side panel, smashing the tail light, rear bumper, and panel itself. He was also seriously injured.

About five different people called 911. Guess what they all said? "A guy on a bike just got hit by a truck! Help!"

This guy didn't even have medical insurance. He claimed on mine automatically. Even with the damage being where it was. Him being gay is not a joke, he sucks cocks. His behavior was appropriate. I had to get deposed later on down the line, and I think he got his bills covered. And guess who's insurance paid for the truck? Mine.

The point is, no matter when you have any contact with a cyclist the damages are the cars responsibility.
