Not sure what the reaction is going to be on this. I wonder what Trump will do next. Comey is right about one thing, there must be consequences for this, even if they won't do anything about it. Maybe Trump can use this to his advantage and shame her in such a way publicly, that she won't do well in the polls.

I will also think Bernie would attack her on this as well. Maybe not as much as Trump, but I can see him trying to 3rd party his way in and split votes, using this as ammo. It's possible this election to have 4 on the ballot, Trump, Sanders, Clinton, <another republican>. If the Republican party won't support Trump, it will shake out this way. That's not a great scenario in alot of ways.

Even if you put the whole e-mail issue aside for a minute and just look at the Clinton foundation it's one of the most complex global money laundering operations out there. It has its tentacles in every high profile pocket which feeds directly to the Clintons and also pays off people. It's ridiculous how corrupt they are. Not even mainland China would allow a high profile politician to get away with this type of stuff for this long. Yet, in America these people have been untouchable for decades now.

The corruption is truly baked into the system in the U.S. and that's what's disturbing about it all. There's an illusion of propriety, democracy, and legal standards being followed when in fact all the rules are either rewritten or changed to suit the whims of the elite depending on the situation.

Hillary was a good lawyer in her heyday so it's quite possible that she could have just said, she does not recall, or things of that nature.

You either plead the 5th to all or you do not plead the 5th at all.

This is why you never volunteer information ever and get a good lawyer there when you are being questioned

It's almost a given that the administration has its hooks deep into the various alphabet agencies. When the president is the one appointing the heads of these agencies with congressional rubber stamps then of course their ethics will be compromised eventually. Probably every administration after Nixon looked at Watergate and realized the solution was to slowly cultivate loyalty with yes men early on and move their own pieces up the chain into these agencies so they could conduct shady activities without being looked at too closely.

The only one that seems to slip executive oversight from time to time is the CIA. They sometimes operate on the fringe and on their own dime with secret slush funds.

Fuck Comey. Society rewarded this guy for being 6'8" and the way he repays it is by leaving the world a much worse place than it already was.

I can actually see the narrative being that the issue is "put to bed" now, CNN immediately said that a "massive weight" had been lifted off Hillary's shoulders after the announcement by Comey.

That press conference was unreal, despite it being confirmed that Hillary lied about sending/receiving classified information - she gets off with nothing. Not even a slap on the wrist.

^ All she seems to have to say is Trump is a "scary racist" and it collapses his vote.

Everyone believes her lies. Society is now set up to help useless people like her succeed on the backs of everyone else.

Very sad, but also not unexpected. Carry on and use it as ammunition!

This makes her easier to beat. It reinforces Trump's position that the entire system is rigged and an outsider candidate is needed to tear it down. It also shows Hillary to be incompetent.
