I do wish they'd stop fucking about with it. James Bond is a character, not a job title. I couldn't care less if they make a spy thriller with Gillian Anderson or any other woman ('Salt' was stupid but fun), but stop ruining franchises. It's an admission that they can't make a decent enough film to stand on it's own merits so they have to use a brand to guarantee profits. So you end up with a shitty film because they rely on the name to pay the bills, not the film.

Just another example of how the SJWs are trying to envade any "male only" space. These fucks don't want us to have anything for ourselves. Essentially, James Bond is the ultimate male fantasy, which is why they're targeting it. Let's think about it, what is it about Bond that appeals to men?:

He's smooth with the ladies
He drives fast cars
He uses cool high-tech gadgets
He's the best at his job

Why the hell would a man want to see a female Bond? It makes no sense. The fanbase has always been primarily male, if they do this it'll be like "Ghostbusters" all over again. The male fans will feel alienated from the franchise they've supported all these years and women won't suddenly become huge Bond fans just because they put a woman in it. If they can even get women out to see the first film in a new female Bond franchise, they'll likely lack the loyalty to follow the series as sequels are made and the story progresses. Why? They'll lose interest and already be off to the next big thing.

It does make you think though. If there was such a thing as a female bond-type character, what would her methods of infiltration, espionage, and sabotage be in a realistic (unfeminized) story?

She would have to come off as the perfect unicorn and vulnerable damsel in distress. I imagine a Melania Trump type who loyally made her way to the top, leaks genuine information while sabotaging anyone she thinks may suspect her, all in an effort to gain more power for her unsuspecting husband, and has every man around her worship the ground she walks on (think daenerys tarygerian).

Her greatest struggle would lie in keeping up appearances even with the children she has had with a husband whose country she is actively working against.

Gillian Anderson could never play such a role.

The baddy would be a Donald Trump clone stroking a toaster that self-identifies as a fluffy white cat, and who captures Bond and uses a laser to threaten his nemesis:
