I think the good looking guys posting here found this forum because they were the bottom 10% in game ability. Real bad.

My really good looking friends ranged from no game to great game.

The no game ones did not get many lays, did end up with hot girlfriends.

It is just much easier for them. The good looking guys posting here about how it barely helps at all must have had really horrific game.

My real life experience clashes with everything they say.

Bottom line you aren't just bad with girls if you are great looking and can't get laid with decent quality easily - you are social inept probably in general and need to work on it.

The level of game you need when you're good looking is much lower then guys who are less attractive, that is just common sense, but there is a direct correlation, some guys can just show up, say "hi" and then basically run "fuck up avoidance game", whereas most other guys will really need that crisp mouth piece and the gift of gab.

On St. Patrick's day I had probably one of my most successful nights from a game perspective, saw this girl standing in the corner of the room by herself, not drinking, not talking to anyone, looking bored, she was dressed super slutty in a Catholic school girl uniform. I slide in super smooth with a clever and witty opener, with impeccable delivery, get her laughing, my conversation game is on point, get her to come to the bar and do a shot with me, we hit the dance floor for some grinding, we take another shot, I sexualize the conversation sensing she's a freak...

Turns out she was a major freak, we make out hard, and she joked about wishing we could find an alley, I thought she was just b.s.ing and joking, but with a stone cold demeanor I said, "lets get out of here", she said "okay", so next thing I know we're strolling out of the bar en route to who knows where. I try to bounce her to my car so I can drive us home to fuck there, but turns out she's kinky and says she wants to suck my dick in "an alley" somewhere.

I know a good spot where its an industrial wearhouse area a few streets off the downtown where it's dead at night time, so we walk like 5 minutes there to some cutty spot where she proceeds to get on her knees and blow me pornstar style.

Now this story isn't meant to be a penthouse letter or a way to brag, I tell this because as we are walking back to the bar after she sucked my dick and swallowed my load, she essentially gave me a back handed compliment. She was like "you know you're not really my type, you're not the best looking guy in the world, but you are a great conversationalist, and really know what to say and how to say it."

So in other words she essentially said that I have good game, and that my game made up for my looks, not that I'm a bad looking guy, a couple members have met me, if anything I'm probably a notch or two above average, but I'm certainly not getting laid solely on my looks. Guys like me have to have good game if we are going to pull off crazy lays.

This was me. I am considered good looking by most women, at 6"3 185 lbs, grew up an athlete and lift weights. I had really bad social anxiety growing up to the point where It hindered me with everyone but especially women. Girls would call me attractive but I would ignore them due to my anxiety issues. Overcoming these issues have been important to my game development.

I've been told I'm a 9 in facial aesthetics, 8 in physique.

A few years ago when I just found the game I'd have rated myself 8 and 7, but I was rejected constantly. I still got bangs, but only through sheer volume of approaches.

Being good looking definitely gave me a huge boost compared to other guys, one that I'm forever grateful for.

But only now that I have Game can I really leverage it.

Now I rarely get blowouts. I notice the IOIs everywhere. I don't fumble girls subtle hooks that they want to hookup. I know how to lead and escalate.

So in the Game VS Looks debate, in my opinion looks is on a similar level to being rich/jacked/social status/fantastic logistics. All help, but Game is still key.

This is how good looks specifically helps:
+ Extra value which allows you to compete with rich/jacked etc guys.
+ Opening is easier. IOIs more common and you get opened by girls (usually below 7s though).
+ Mid-game is easier. She'll give you more leeway if you fuck up shit tests or same stupid shit ("don't fuck it up game").
+ Closing is easier. Girls are just more turned on.
+ Online game is much easier. Nuff said.
+ In relationships, dread game is easier as your girl will notice the IOIs you get regularly and you only have to start a few conversations to really get the hamster going.
- Halo Effect. In business and all other areas of life you're perceived as more competent, intelligent etc.

Some pitfalls to watch out for:
- Overgaming is a common sticking point. Took me years to learn how to modulate cocky & funny game to the right level in each interaction.
- Player vibe needs to be constantly monitored. Escalating too fast makes girls think you'll never commit so will reject you.
- Don't stick to online game or a niche. Sex will continue but your game will suffer dramatically.
- Be careful with how you talk to girls about health stuff. I love talking about nutrition and exercise, but often girls get insecure, thinking that you're slyly calling them fat.

Notes for out-competing good looking players:
- They usually don't actively work on their Game, so are easy to verbally disarm.
- They're often not intelligent/knowledgeable, so you can school them on that. I find that they do typically do more travelling though and thus are quite often cultured.
- Just treat it like you would a competitor who is rich, jacked etc. It's not something you can't overcome.

If I'm honest, I think a lot of guys sometimes over exaggerate their looks, or think their appearance is a little better than it actually is [Cue "I've been asked to model"]. There's no way to say this without coming across like a homo, but having a few friends with atrocious game, but solid looks… They still slay.

My life experience agrees with Travesty and Rush87. Most guys think they're 'above average' in looks, nearly all of them aren't.

I've got two guy friends from uni who I know are extremely good looking because they got opened by random girls every time we went to a bar in college, and still do years later. Neither has any game to this day, because to them getting laid was always just a case of "don't say anything retarded or get so drunk you pass out". If they stayed in any way sober they'd go home with a good looking girl, if they got fucked up they'd still probably pull a '5' who considered herself lucky to get with them.

Unless girls are opening you you are not above average in looks. Above average guys stand out from the crowd of 'average' by definition so will regularly get opened by girls.

Bingo. Delusion is not exclusive to women. I've seen some self proclaimed good looking guys post their pics on bodybuilding misc and gll forums, and while some of them were good looking, majority of them were delusional as fuck.

Tinder is by far the best test whether you are good looking or not. Just search "bodybuilding misc male model tinder" and see what results good looking guys get:

• Ridiculous number of matches
• Matches include hot 6+ girls (my system 6=cute, 7=hot, 8+= female models/strippers/etc)
• Girls (including hot) saying hi / starting convo/ being very engaging
• Retarded openers that would get average guy unmatched work fine
  

If you don't get results like that on Tinder, then you're not good looking. Period.

It's not about looks VERSUS game!

It's about looks AND game!

MAXIMIZING BOTH is obviously the greatest thing to do.

Work on BOTH, simultaneously!

Looks and Game are a team. They work together. They should compliment each other and make each other better. Combined, there should be a synergistic effect, a symbiotic relationship that enhances both. Your entire presentation should be congruent.

Each man has his own challenges:

-Good looking but socially inexperienced guys should work on their game/social skills.

-Average looking guys with good social skills should work on both; but, should focus on improving both their look AND their looks.

-Below average in looks and social skills should obviously work on both.

Each man has to build upon his own unique strengths while at the same time building up his own unique weaknesses.

Personally, I had to really improve all 3 aspects: Looks, Game, and "Look"

"Look" -- Similar to your "style" -- Hipster, bad boy, bro, businessman, jock, surfer/skater, party guy, rich guy, beach guy, country boy, shoes, boots, jewelry, tattoos, hair style, glasses, etc.

Looks -- Skin care, teeth, muscle tone, body fat %, posture, body language health, vibrancy, confidence, comfort, grooming, We have a lot of power to change our bodies and even our face, to a point.

I was decent looking physically but I did a poor job of presenting myself. My muscle tone was bad. My diet and exercise routine needed to get better. My hair style and skin care needed improving. My teeth and overall grooming needed to improve. My body language and posture wasn't great.

My "Look" was not congruent with my personality, nor was it fined tuned to specifically for my location. I dressed business casual even though I was not a businessman. I dressed mainstream even though my personality was more edgy. My look was fined tuned for comfort not to attract girls. I wore sweats and t-shirts.

I had to improve my "look' and my looks.

They are two sides of the same coin.

The way in which you present yourself is a representation of your mind.

Your "look" and your looks communicate a lot about your attitude, vibe, personality, imagination, taste, class, culture, values, upbringing, etc.

What do you guys think about this scenario:

I am I would say a low 7 on the looks scale. When I approach girls especially at my level to a little higher (low to high 7) I find my teasing asshole game does not work nearly as well off the bat. I think the girls almost find it incongruent that I treat them "below me", when I can almost feel they think I am lucky to be talking with them.

In fact now that I think about it girls at my level or just a little higher on the SMV pole have been the toughest to lay on average in retrospect.

Instead I have found being humorous without teasing, more easy going and comfort building needs more time than usual to bring them down to my level before I can start teasing as much and dig into them.

Now girls that are a clear step below me (mid 6's) I can tease and be over the top with off the bat and they love it almost all the time because I believe in their eyes I am acting congruent because they know I am above them.

I would need someone else to rate me. It's very hard to be objective of your own appearance.

I'm tall, lean, and have some decent musculature. Good facial features but nothing striking. I wear glasses, and my teeth are not great. Could be much straighter and whiter - I never open mouth smile unless I'm laughing. I guess I would say I'm relatively average in looks. Nothing really too standout about me besides maybe my tattoos. I've been told I'm attractive by women I'm talking to, but rarely if ever cold approached.

I could certainly improve my teeth which may make a big difference in my appearance and confidence. I also have contemplated laser eye surgery to fix my vision so I don't need to wear glasses 24/7. Aside from that, getting even bigger at the gym and working more on my style and "look" as Gio puts it.

Tinder is a good metric to assess your attractiveness. I'd say if you're consistently matching with above average looking girls and they're opening you, then you're a good looking guy.

I don't think the glasses really take a lot away, and I do get compliments about them, but the shitty thing is that I have horrid eyesight. I literally have to wear them as long as I'm awake otherwise I can't do anything. Everything is blurry that is more than 12 inches from my face.
