We're slowly getting there in Montreal and Quebec City with the current war on caleches for tourists. I can't comment on the animals conditions elsewhere around the world, but the horses here are treated like kings, according to a SJW I know who's been in the business for years. But this hasn't stopped leftists from protesting and they've been going at it for a few summers now.
