I've been to 2 from that list.

I've been to the flying pig, it was super expensive for a hostel and nothing partyish about it at all. I wouldn't really recommend.

I've been to Retox and it is good but its sister hostel Grandio is much better. The thing that makes Retox good is it has massive parties that everyone from the 4 hostels goes to and it's a bit more central but Grandio feels much less slum like and has a massive garden courtyard and bar which is really nice to relax in especially if you're hungover.

Self proclaimed "party hostels" can be good but with any hostel, it just comes down to luck of the draw of what the other guests staying there at the same time as you are like.

Kabul I literally saw somebody get knocked out by security for attempting to get a girl in.

Rising cock may as well be in australia. Extremely overcrowded it's literally just a house with like 100s of people.

Hostel Grandio in Budapest was cool. They actually had a banging room when I was there.

The best party hostel I have heard of but have not been to is in Varna in Bulgaria. It was called x hostel. Apparently owners would high five you if you managed to bring back girls. I stayed at their sister hostel in alicante. It was cool due to the people I met there though.

Overall they suck for banging girls especially if your after local girls. If you meet the right people they are great though. What's good about doing the. In Latin America is if you do score a hotel room is only like $5. Plus a lot of them in beach places actually have cheap as fuck bungalow setups where it's more of a party community than a party hostel.

Those hostels seem a bit 'main stream,' I dare say. Though I don't doubt they're probably fun.

Phnom Penh's hostels can be pretty wild. Tons of fun plus beer cheaper than water.

I'v never actually stayed at a hostel in SEA. I pretty much know that I'm going to get laid and then having your own room is cheap anyway. I turned up to one once and saw a no prostitute sign and actually asked about it and basically if the girls Thai she isn't getting in regardless if she is a whore.

I'm always very torn about getting a hostel when in a new city. Many hostels do not allow you to bring guest back, even if you have a private room. It's frustrating because if you pull a local you can get a bang in or you have to spend even more on another room. But if you stay in a hotel or airbnb you don't have anyone to party with.

Someone remind me how you're gonna have sex with the girl you hit it off with during the "party". Private rooms in hostels are scarce, shitty, and often more expensive than a room in a 3 star hotel.

Staff in hostels is normally unusually annoying and strict once it comes to ever so slightly bending the rules (making noise at night, bringing a girl in your dorm, sex in the bathroom or whatever "cool" idea you're thinking of). If the owner is on the scene, multiply strictness by 10.

Show me a player going to stay in a hostel and I'll show a wannabe douchebag.

Have sex in the dorm room, have sex in a bathroom, have sex in a hallway somewhere...its actually pretty easy. Sex in hostels is rarely great, but it isn't hard to do. I still wouldn't stay in a hostel once youre 25+ though, its got a time and place. When you're 20 they're great fun, there's no better way to have an instant group of people to party with and hook up with when arriving in a foreign country. Plus they're cheap.

I've stayed at a couple of places on that list. Party hostels in my experience are often terrible ratios. Groups of guys are usually the ones most drawn to the frat-like-party hostel experience, you rarely get big groups of girls like you do in the "nicer" hostels.

They can be great fun mind you, but you have to have your game face on gaming the few girls from early-on in the night if you want to get laid.

These hostels are a great place for practicing your bro slang though. There's more (by far more) bromance going on than actual fucking but hey, that can be fun too. And you'll increase the number of your facebook friends manyfold.

80/20 in my experience. Maybe 70/30. Bear in mind most of the guys will either a) have no game or b) will get so drunk they can't function though, so that helps a lot. But still not great odds.

Usually its the hostel staff that clean up - they stay relatively sober and have lots of gaming practice. Plus have that 'position of power' DHV going for them.

A good way of trying to assess what the ratios will be like in a hostel is have a look at the available rooms on hostelworld. If there are lots of female only rooms its a good sign, that should help keep the ratios not too bad. If its all just "mixed dorm" you're gonna get loads of dudes.

The girls in the hostels I stayed at were not very attractive.

Maybe it's better in Europe or LatAm?

Either way, this is a young man's game. Once you get a little money you'll high tail it out of these places real quick. But until that day, have some fun banging foreign broads in the bathroom stall, roof, broom closest, and behind the backyard rose bushes....just watch your ass with those thorns. You don't want to be getting poked in the rear too.

I think 25 is around the age limit for them. Below that age, they're great fun as the good ones are basically temporary, mixed-sex, frathouses. Once you're 26+ though you a) won't find it as easy to fit in socially since everyone else is 21-ish and b) you'll have much less tolerance for hostel bullshit (noise, dirtyness, things being stolen etc).

I generally agree with this, although I'd say that the 25- age limit is mostly for party hostels. I've seen a lot of well-maintained hostels over the past few years where there's a good vibe and yet, you won't find the problems mentioned above. These places are usually a bit more expensive and have a limited capacity (2 or 3 dorms with a couple of private rooms). No problem staying there even if you're 25+.

I stayed in a hostel in Cologne (back in 2014) I was 28 my friends were 38 and 40 at the time and we had a good time not a party hostel in terms of the op but it had it own bar.

I find hostels a great way to meet women straight off the bat also had female staff so able to chat them up. But you got to do your homework look for ones with top reviews on Tripadvisor and Booking.com also look for stuff like safe deposit boxes to keep valuables safe etc.

Yes I've seen myself. There's no problem fitting, and it's fun and cheap, but it's different than going to a party hostel expecting to collect tons of notches.

There are some great merits to being a backpacker.. but they just don't correlate with being a player. You'll just have to choose which one is a priority to you during the trip you're taking.

A play on the hostel thing would be to day game Euro girls in Khaosan Road, Bangkok. Once you get them hooked you just tell them how they are not seeing the real Bangkok and about the awesome pool, etc you have at your condo. Then you bounce to your condo and make magic happen.

This is theoretical only as I can't see myself going to this effort for European girls when there are Thai girls in abundance.
