This should get minorities to seriously rethink the priorities of the political powers that be that they support unconditionally and without question.

Minorities are vastly under-represented in US Special Forces units. The US military, controlled by the democratic elite that these same minorities support unconditionally, has just shown a willingness to literally force women into combat service they are wildly unsuited for.
One has to wonder if they would go to the same lengths to combat the vast under-representation of minority men in the military, even though minority men are vastly more suited physically and mentally to the tasks at hand than the women they are moving heaven and earth to accommodate now.

Is the left really as "anti-racist" as it purports to be, or do they perhaps have more in common with the big, bad, racist conservatives than some people seem to think?

What I hope does not get lost in this scam is that while the females were given slack on the physical aspects of the training, special consideration was given for the analytical and pragmatic aspects. While it is clear as day that they were not up to standard physically, they also did not have the mental aptitude. Females simply do not have the skill to think clearly during times of stress yet our society is arbitrarily elevating them to positions of power.

Excellent point. In fact, the part that these females had the most trouble passing even with every kind of special consideration and above-and-beyond extra training was patrols. They were never able to make adequate real-time decisions.

What is telling is that this bomb of a story comes out in the puff peice rag People Magazine and not the TIME Inc Corps flagship magazine.. you know.. TIME.

Susan Keating has had stories in TIME before so it would not be unheard of for her to get something in print in those pages which would get more views and be blasted as chief topic of news for the start of the week.

This is a big story, but the establishment does not want it to be top news and has this casted it to the pages where it can sit in between Kim Kardasian and Kaley Cucco and be glossed over by women eating nacho chips in the checkout aisle.

No surprise to me at all. They've been lying and fudging the numbers whenever their agenda needs to be served.

All of this nonsense--that is, women in combat--is a luxury of American peace-time cultural engineering bullshit. If the shit really hit the fan, the women would run for their lives or leap into jobs where they can hide. Like they always do.

People forget that America hasn't really faced an existential crisis since WW II. All the other wars since then were colonial wars, or wars that could be fought with volunteer units.

It's a real tragedy that no none in charge (including the chickenshit generals who sit there and endorse all this bullshit) has the balls to say "no."

They want to promote women, gays, transsexuals, and all the rest of it so that they can check the boxes and look "open-minded." And they're doing it. No one has the guts to stand up and put a stop to this. They are destroying the cohesiveness of the military. And the tragedy is that when a real war comes, many men are going to die because of these social engineering projects.

I like how everyone here predicted this major lowering of the bar would happen based on how women are "recruited" for emergency services and other male dominated professions.

There's just no way it can be done through sheer merit.

You might get a very rare genetic anomaly out there that can perform at the same level of a man. What they don't take into consideration are things like mental toughness in combat and other attributes that the PC press will never truly compare. Men and women are wired differently and we all know that.

During times of intense desperation I believe women can fight and even do pretty well but we're talking Stalingrad levels of apocalypse where most of the able bodied men are wiped out before that happens.

There are so many errors and falsehoods that it may be better to cite two snippets that actually had a modicum of truth. Yes, Maj. Gen. Giving the women classes before ranger school doesn't sound like problem.
Infantry school is essentially pre camp before ranger school, considering infantry officers are expected to go to ranger school right after.

Males are also allowed to recycle. For both medical and failures.
A friend of mine has a spouse sitting out for the next six months for getting in a fight during ranger school.

I'm starting to lean towards these women actually making it thorough.
The last thing ranger want is their rep tarnished by hiding the info.

There are a lot of misconceptions floating around here.

- It's a qualification, not an assignment to a Ranger unit. Basically just a patch to put on your sleeve.
- Once these women are passed through Ranger school, they'll be returned to their original units doing the original jobs they signed up for.
- Women are ineligible to enlist as 11B (which prohibits them from combat or service in infantry units)
- Service in Range regiments is closely regulated and hand-picked, even for men; women will never be on the front lines.

It's politically correct symbolism, not a transformation of the U.S. military. The fact they were paper-pushed through is cause for concern, but it takes a certain amount of paranoia to believe our military doesn't recognize the inherent differences between men and women. I'm not at all alarmed or threatened by this, and you shouldn't be either.

Sorry, "symbolism" or not, I'm worried. The progressive/PC Feminist garbage is literally everywhere and the fact that it's growing fast within the military is a very telling and dangerous sign.

EVERY guy I know in the military says how dysfunctional and how "pussified" it's becoming. And it was already pretty fucked up to begin with.

This is an anti-feminist forum, if you look for signs of "degradation" hard enough you'll probably find them anywhere. It's an echo chamber. My experience in the Army was totally different than what I read about here. Night and day comparison, complete opposite. Knowing someone in the (post-war) military who doesn't like to sit through politically correct PowerPoint presentations doesn't mean it's getting worse. My dad said the military was being dumbed down, my grandpa said the same thing, and chances are my offspring 100 years down the line will also say it.

I'd suggest joining and seeing for yourself, but the response will probably be "I won't join, the military is being pussified by feminists!"
